I don't recommend Proboards, I've used it before and it does indeed have alot of options. But the fact that its Proboards will keep most expierenced forum goers away.

I recommend a website I found that offers free hosting phpbb forum hosting. Normally users have to pay for phpbb forums but you have way more options,customizing power & best of all no ADs.

I should correct myself, phpbb is indeed free but you'll need somewhere to host the forum/images which is why I recommended the free phpbb host.

Yeah, they are right. phpbb is much better, and sorry, I can't stand the colors of the boards.

Personally, I prefer OpenBB. If you know HTML, or have an editor, than you can easily customize just about any aspect. The only downside is this new version they just came out with is a bit buggy.

Alright, I don't want a Mod position, but I do have a few pointers for new forum starter like yourself. Firstly, not so many forums! I would think all of those Zelda-related forums could easilly be grouped together for maximum benifit. Otherwise, you will have 20 or so topics in one at the most, and some will hardly be touched. When and if your forum gets really popular, THEN you can spread the threads out more. This is mostly a popularity thing, as people are more hesitant to post in an empty topic than a busy one. By generalising the topics, you will probably even get more people, quicker. Start small, then expand when needed. That is the key.

There is another general rule that may or may not be aplicable in this situation... usually you would try to keep the theme of your forum unique... as we all know there are a million online gaming forums out there, ect. But for some reason I don't think that is going to be a problem with your forum. The color scheme, however...

i prefer Forumotion.com. out of all of the boards i've ever registered at (around 50 or so now i think, i lost count) i've only ever joined 2 proboards forums. the first one was utter crap, and i stopped going there after a few weeks. i only joined the second one last week, cos the original board, which was on IPB, was hacked, so the new one is temporary.
