Whats so bad about this place anyway?

I've legitamately advertised it at a lot of sites and not a single reply or sign up. All I want to know is why you don't want to sign up. Just say you go to a lot of other boards if that's the reason. trust me, you can say my board is stupid and I'll take it as honest criticism.

well, mostly people dont wanna sign up for a thousand different boards.
and people also dont like freebie boards.
on a forum im on, they have a word filter for invision free, so wehn u type in the url, it shows up as "s3. we dont take kindly to freebie boards/whatever"

but, i have also gotten a ton of replies for when i ad my site/board soemtimes, but still nobody joins.

ok, I took a look at it, and there's nothing that's really bad about it per se, it's just that there's millions of millions of other forums that look exactly the same and there's not really anything special or particularly eye catching about it.

I'm on a few forums but the main one I'm on is one that has a large variety of small forums so unless I really want to talk about Zelda for example, I find a really good Zelda forum to do so, like this one, there's not really any reason to join your one when this one is around.

I see a lot of nintendo type stuff as well, I'd rather join (and I am on) the official Nintendo boards anyway, and I feel like I get more reliable info there and there's obv more people there to talk to.

That looks like a cool site but I think people might not join as there's a s***load of things to do and there just simply isn't enough time to do everthing. Also, may I suggest a Battle forum. Yeah, expect your site to grow when you putr this, plus more genres of music forums.

I sure know why... I have an Invision board myself for my gaming clan, and it looks more customized and better. Your forum has the default skin, and that skin sucks.

True. If you are going to use an Invision Board, at least make an attempt to make it look appealing. I refuse to join Invision Boards that have everything as the default, no banner, no buttons, no anything. If you would put some effort into make it look better, then maybe more people would consider signing up.

How do you change the skin WZ4E? I couldn't figure that out.

And I'm working on changing the buttons and the banner is made but I can't figure out how to get it on. It's photoshop hosted.

And what do you define as a "Battle forum."?

Nothing is really bad about your forums, though what I find a bit strange is that it's called the shire, has a picture of Link and then has nothing to do with Lord of The Rings/The Hobbit.

Why I won't join it:
1) There are way to many Zelda boards.
2) I am on to many forums
3) The header in the top is so big that it is annoying
4) There are way to many forums. You really don't think that each forum will be heavy populated, do you?

It's not a bad forums, It's just that I'm signed up to quite a few forums, and I don't really post in them.This is the only one I post on. I would probably one of those people that joins and does nothing on it.

Same here... at the moment i'm only posting here and I lose the URL of half the forums I join Anyway...

try sticking them in your favorites

Hmm, well, I don't like the black background, the banner's size is way too big, and that skin never looks good. In fact, until I figure our how to edit skins and make a button set, I'm not making my forum. Besides, Blueberry Ripple's under construction.

Hm, here's Supertails's forum- he downloaded some skins for it-but doesn't know how to make his own. Also, I believe that it failed because he lost all the data for the site he was making-so it never had a site to compliment it.

You'd like to imagine a sprawling, well moderated forum where everything's great and you're the one who made it all-but back to reality, very few people are going to join a forum that has topics that bigger forums, such as ZU will have. At least, not on an Invision board in it's early months or so...
I'm not expecting that many people on mine either.

Also, I can say, get your thinking cap on and think of something new and appealing to draw people to your forums and make them want to stay there. I always leave new forums except ZU, Sonic Zone forums and UFF forums.

Who knows, maybe it'll be as big as ZU someday! ^_^;

Frankly, because nobody gives a crap about InvisionFree message boards. Despite whatever pipe dream you have about owning a huge site, there's a good chance it won't happen. Plus, having no main site is a very good way to not get any visits. People come to the site to see whatever information you have and go to the forums to discuss it. If they have no reason to come to your site, they won't come.

I don't like joining too many message board sites cause i tend to ignore half of them for a year or too.

So....many....choices! Wow. My only question is, why are you calling it "The Shire" if it is a Zelda board?
