Well, I always thought of Slippy as a girl... Until Adventures came out. That seemed to show a bit more of Slippy's personality and actions...

Anyway, I am hoping that the debate "Vivian was called man to insult her womanliness" is true; or else the Engilsh version of Vivian being accepted as canon. Has Nintendo commented on this yet?
