I don't really have anything to add, except to bring up Birdo. Isn't Birdo a guy who thinks he's a girl? Somehow I remember something like that in the instruction booklet for SMB2, but I don't have it, so I can't check.

It's gross thinking about it, anyway. Wonder why Nintendo did it.
