Seryth
This describes everything, though, obviously, the format is a tad different. This is a rough draft. I'll fix grammatical things and other flaws like that later on, but the actual character will stay the same:
Name: Seryth Abaddon (aka: The Phoenix) Age: 30 Race: Blessed Human- A human-like species that is slightly taller and bulkier (muscle-wise) than a regular human. They are typically stronger than humans and possess the elemental skills that few humans do. They also don't show aging as much so as humans. Gender: Male Temper: Over the years, Seryth has learned to control his temper. He is not affected by anger causing comments, but pities those who attempt it. Sense of Humor: Seryth is known to pop a joke every now and then and to have a good laugh. But in battle, it all changes. Basic Nature: Seryth is an over all good guy. In battle, he is as serious and focused as ever, but out of battle, he is known all over the land. Prejudices: Those who try to affect their opponent in battle with just words. Philosophy: Do not forget your past; it is what shapes the rest of your life. Height: 6'4" Weight: 230 lbs Build: Strong, though not bulky, very defined Skin Color: Tanned lightly Eyes: a flaming red tinge Hair: Long flowing whit hair. (better shown in appearance image) DOB: 7/10 Alignment: Neutral Elemental Affinity: Fire Weapon Specialty: Long Sword ::Guardian Aeon (pet):: Name: Roec Description: Roec is a powerful Griffon that is only and will always loyal to Seryth. Seryth had encountered Roec when he was held down by hunters of his enemy. So, Seryth calmed the beast and let him go. Since then, Roec has been there to protect Seryth as much as he can. He can fly, bite and claw with incredible strength. Appearance: http://www.jaestudio.com/Griffon.jpg ::Appearance:: http://img119.echo.cx/img119/4282/guys1083qk.jpg Sometimes he will wear no armor and no cape. : ersonality:: Seryth isn't a very talkative man. He prefers solitude rather than a group of friends. Although he does have some friends, he does not see them much because of his continuous traveling. Thus, he prefers trying not to gain friends as he moves on. In battle, Seryth will no talk so much for his weapons do most of it. He does not make snide remarks or anything of the sort. He just lets the battle decide his future. ::Weapon(s):: Name: The Adaru Type: Long Sword Description: This is Seryth's final weapon, and a good one as well. Many people have sought the power of this blade though those who tried to overpower it have failed. This sword is what you would call 'enchanted'. It is able to ricochet weak to medium powered energy attacks or absorb them to give it more power. Appearance: Can be found in appearance. Name: The Twin Baruku Short Swords Type: Short Swords Description: These are Seryth's secondary weapons made to execute lightning quick attacks effectively. They can absorb small energy attacks and if thrown or out of Seryth's hands, they cannot be held in any way by the opponent and come straight back to Seryth. The same goes for the Adaru. Appearance: http://www.argoth.co.uk/acatalog/ucyuc1297abnb.jpg ::Accessories:: Old Dagger- This is Seryth’s beloved keepsake. After the fire at his home, this was the only thing intact and in good shape. It seemed special because the blade did not melt under the flame. http://www.gagedesigns.com/Flame%20blade.jpg ::Special Abilities:: Being a Blessed Human, Seryth naturally has unprecedented fighting and martial arts skills. --Deshantaru (Crushing Force)- An attack not triggered by fire, but by mind. It is invisible in being performed, therefore the opponent does not know if it is being brought up. Seryth simply looks at his opponent for only a few seconds and the attack takes place. It is an invisible, crushing force brought onto his opponent. It's like invisible diamond (which is unbreakable unless you can find some diamond of your own), pushing into its opponent farther and farther, crushing their whole body. Once complete, the attack has already taken out 50% of the opponent's health. It can only be used twice in one battle, and must allow three posts of recharge before using it again. --Gyaretto (Strong Spear)- This technique is quite powerful. Flaming metal spikes the size of Seryth's sword form in thin air, reaching very high and wide (large majority of playing field) and are sent forward with blistering speed. If hit (which is VERY likely), the opponent is hurt greatly and is temporarily not able to use any of their abilities for three of their posts and takes out 50% of the opponent's health. This can be used twice. --Naasir (Protect)- Seryth is now covered in a large mass of flame. This is a protective spell, so Seryth can avoid many attacks. And if an opponent attempts to break it by means of magic or physical strength, he or she is hurt and sent flying back. This can last for four of Seryth's posts and is unaffected by barrier breakers or anything of the like --Flaming Trap- With this ability, Seryth uses a few flames cast from his sword to send his opponent to a wall, the ground wherever, but when finally stuck, the opponent cannot move at all and cannot use their abilities. After all, their hands and whole body are constricted. The fire keeping them on the ground cannot be broken out of and constricts the opponent for three turns, taking out 10% of their health per turn. --Disabled Flame- This is a pretty simple attack, really. With a mild normal blast of flame contacting the opponent in any way will cause he/she/it to be frozen completely. The flame is just like any other that Seryth could send out so the attack is very unexpected. The opponent can't move, attack, use their abilities, blink, nothing for three turns except breathe. This gives Seryth the upper hand to attack and deal mighty damage. This may only be used three times per battle. : io::Years and years ago, it was said that a blessed child was born every 1,000 years. And this blessed child was not like any human that was seen before. These blessed children possessed the power of one given element. They would be born unto normal humans, and by some special supernatural force, they would be lead to a large, forever abandoned castle. This castle was hidden away deep in the mountains, unseen to any living being but the Creator. And it was there that this child would come to life. In describing blessed children, they are largely shaped by their given element. In their speaking, physical appearance, emotion, and personality. If a baby was to be born with the element of thunder, they would grow up to have a deep voice, a "shocking" personality (no pun intended), and would be angered easily. The child's physical appearance of thunder would be large and muscle bound. Getting to the meaning of this message, there was one blessed child unlike any other born unto this world. The first to be given the element of fire, and the first to be able to defy it. This child's name was Seryth Narovoy. In the castle he was born, his eyes a flaming red tinge. His parents were astonished. How would they come to treat a blessed child? They knew nothing of magic and spells, or even fighting for that matter. They were clueless and very questioning. Why was it them? Who did it? How did it happen? These questions were never answered, and they never needed to be. There were qualities of these parents that were suitable to raising a blessed child that they had not discovered. Though they did not feel that this was to be their fate, they carried out their mission to raise a blessed child of flame. They left the castle in a hurry. Seryth was crying and it was raining heavily upon the land. It could have caused death to do this. And death occurred. It just so happened that at the precise spot and latitude, Seryth's father was hit by a large blast of lightning. He screamed out in pain and slowly fell to the ground. Seryth's mom could not comprehend what was happening. It was such a beautiful day out before. It was as if Seryth being born caused this. All she knew was to find refuge. She ran and ran, but could not find any means of a good hideout. Lightning struck again and again, missing and missing by inches. Before too long, a large cave was in eye's view. Seryth's mom ran in with her baby wrapped in torn cloth and looked at him. He seemed so peaceful, as if the weather had nothing to do with his emotion. This was quite unusual, but nothing was very usual lately. Seryth's mom began to nurture him. . .and smiled at her young boy's peace, wishing that only she could feel it. Years passed and Seryth grew up to the age of ten. He was a very lively boy. He acted at the spur of each moment and did not plan well. He would run around in the woods and play with sticks and would come home to a sizzling plate of dinner. The world knowing that Seryth was a blessed child, they brought him and his mom to the greatest care the ruler of the land could offer. Seryth was happy. But there was one thing that he questioned. One day, out of the blue, without warning Seryth asked the one question his mom thought he would never ask: "What happened to dad?" His mom was cleaning some dishes and at the sound of each word, her eyes grew wider and wider. She opened her mouth, but was speechless. Seryth's mom had never prepared for this day. She always thought it would never happen. What a fool she had been. "Rain. . .lightning. . ." his mom answered. Seryth was confused but still intrigued by this question that burned inside his heart. He needed a solid answer before he could do anything. "What, ma? What happened?" Seryth asked. Tears began to flow down his mom's eyes as she told the story of Seryth and his destiny. Hours passed and Seryth was only more interested as time wore on. He came to find out about his heritage and about how his father was once a great warrior who never gave up. Even once against one whole army and only but a few hundred men, he stood his ground and with great wisdom, he won the battle. Seryth come to love his dad even though he never knew him; how his father was such a nice man, loved to have a laugh an dloved to spar. His father was most noted for the amazing battle he had with a whole army as mentioned before. The story was over and his mom was crying. Seryth hugged her and comforted her. "It's alright mom. . ." Seryth cared for his mom at that time but his mindset was now at growing to the potential of his father. He wanted to be a fighter stronger than his dad and he wanted to surpass him in any way possible. The next day, Seryth received a wooden sword from the local blacksmith and from that day on, he would watch the city guard practice training. Later on, he would begin training on his own. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Seven years later Seryth was fifteen years old and was a natural born fighter. Already at this age he was able to send small fireballs through the sky or create a small flame. It was unusual, of course because he was a blessed child, of course. He would seclude himself from the other children to train and spar with even some of the city guard members and would defeat them with his skill and prowess. He had received a real sword now, though kept it sharp. Seryth loved being a child of flame. He just never knew that he would need to exploit these abilities so soon. . . Only a few days passed before Seryth could hear the rumblings of thousands of footsteps. None of the townspeople knew except for Seryth because of his keen senses. The night came as thunder and lightning formed and took shape. The night sky that was once peaceful and welcoming was a forbidding dark shade of blue with great gray clouds coming in quickly. The footsteps were louder and were only about a mile away from the town. Seryth could now take the precise number of enemies there were. Well over 2,000. He needed to tell someone. He needed to tell the guard. Something had to be done. While in his dwelling, he left his room unseen and unheard and left with his sword. He ran to the town guard as fast as he could without being seen. He came and told the commander- Trint. "Commander Trint! We are on the brink of battle! We must do something!" Seryth yelled out. Trint was in his seat and desk, working out battle tactics. "Yes, that's amazing, Seryth. . ." Trint answered, unaffected. "Commander Trint! I can detect over 2,000. It is a powerful force and must be dealt with! Take a look through a telescope and you will find across the lands there are swarms of some horrible creature gathering to attack the town!" Commander Trint gripped his telescope and looked through. He brought it down quickly and looked at Seryth and nodded. After, he walked in a hurry yelling out: "Gather all the men able to fight!" "YES SIR!" a soldier agreed. He ran out and announced it to all the people of the town. A great battle was about to begin. . . The battle took place and every man able to fight was armed and ready to battle. Hundreds were posted at archer barricades across the East end and West end. The rest were posted in the middle and at the front city gate, awaiting the coming of their life or death. As the enemy came closer, their identity was given away. They were knows as ‘Flesh Keepers’. These were powerful creatures- black in color and glowing blue eyes. Their upper bodies were large and powerful and their limbs were small. They had a head that resembled that of a wolf except their fangs showed through, long and constantly dripping with blood. Seryth was at the front lines. He did not seem worried. Though is mom was very worried. She did not know where Seryth was though had the strong feeling that Seryth was out there, raring to fight. His sword was drawn and was set aflame as he stood next to Trint. “Looks like it’s your first real battle, eh Seryth? Scared?” He chuckled. “No. I want to defeat my enemy. That is the sole purpose in any battle and I intend to stick with that one philosophy.” Trint only ignored the comment as the first wave of creatures came forward. “Archers fire at will!” Thousands of arrows went flying into the air and glided, falling down to go through the tough hide of the monsters that were attempting to break through the town walls. All guards and warriors ran forward, Seryth in front ready to kill their enemy. It was a funny thing, though. The youngest was the strongest. The least experienced turned out to be the most experienced. Though Seryth had lived less a life than those behind him, he was in front of the line and ready to die for his home. The creatures thought of Seryth as easy meat and went for him first. Three Flesh Keepers jumped on him, though were blown away in flaming pieces. Seryth’s eyes were flaming as he jumped up high and cut three more Flesh Keepers down. It went on like this for a long while until Seryth spotted the leader of the army. It was an Elite Flesh Keeper. Twice as tall, muscle all over, and carried long, sharp claws on its paws. Seryth had his mind set to killing it. Killing the leader would cause less order and would weaken the enemy. Both warriors met eyes. They were both ready to kill their opponent. Seryth jumped, though feinted the Elite by landing behind it and sending a ball of flame to its back. It screamed out in great pain as it pushed Seryth hard to the ground. He grunted as he was bleeding at his chest. This pain only seemed to make him more determined. Seryth stood up and brought his sword downward. The attack was too quick for the creature to dodge, and soon the Elite was left with one arm. “Die scum!” Seryth yelled out. The battle wore on for hours and Seryth was always ahead. Seryth was truly a blessed human. His clothes were ripped and torn and he was bleeding in many spots, though not greatly. His opponent was weak, and was open for a finishing blow. Using this chance, Seryth jumped up and his sword cut away the Elite’s head. He lifted it high to show to his people. Though Seryth won his battle, the battle at the city gate was not in the town guard’s favor. At showing the Elite’s head, the guard grew in motivation and cheered. They fought harder than every as Seryth continued to fight as well. Trint, with his twin swords drawn ran towards Seryth, cutting Flesh Keepers down on his way and stood at his side. He was speechless at Seryth’s victory and did not know what to do next except run in honor of his homeland. Both warriors cut down many monsters as they plowed through. One spark of hope was all that was needed in order to win this battle. It was won, though left great damage. There would have been more if it weren’t for Seryth’s warning. Days later from resting, Seryth awoke to his mom smiling. She had been worrying as Seryth was asleep for days. She hugged him and began to cry. “Oh, you blessed child. You have saved me and the rest of the town. You have shown me who you really are. You are truly someone to be honored to be with. You are my child and I am so glad the Creator chose me to have you.” The two rejoiced at their happiness. And as that day passed, Seryth was presented as an honorary citizen of the town. The townspeople cheered and the king blessed him. Seryth still kept a serious outlook on this. Seryth was not satisfied with his accomplishments. All he did was become a brute and destroy those in his way. He had no reason except to protect his home. No one questioned why the Flesh Keepers came. It boggled Seryth’s mind. He decided he would investigate. At the age of 20, Seryth had learned very little. But this little amount of knowledge he gained was very valuable. He knew the dwelling of his enemy now and he intended to destroy every last Flesh Keeper. Leading an army of over one thousand, Seryth marched on. From dawn 'till dusk, the army walked, through forest and and mountain until they came upon the Flesh Keeper's dwelling. It was located inside an old abandoned mine deep inside the Hirono mountains. The stone door was there in front of the men and Seryth. All they had to do was enter quietly and siege it. The army was nervous. "You don't mean 1,000 strong do not mean to tell me that you are scared of Flesh Keepers?! We defeated one army, we can do it once more." Seryth drew a long line across the front of the army with his sword. "I am willing to die for my home- are you? If you walk across this line, you tell me you are brave and powerful. If you do not- I have nothing left to do but let you die." A compelling speech, every last soldier took a step across the sand and drew their swords and bows. "Are you ready?!" Seryth yelled out. The billowing battle cries of the army were heard and resonated throughout the land as they ran forward ahead of Seryth. Seryth smiled and ran ahead and into the hollowed mountain. The footsteps were loud as the men ran deeper and deeper into the mountain. And there they were. One thousand strong Flesh Keepers, their claws drawn and in fighting position. They roared as they took the initiative to charge. The men were happy to hear them. They were motivated- and ready to kill. They ran hard, one barricade with long spears ready to plunge through the first line of Flesh Keepers, the second with their swords drawn to take those leftover, and the line of bows and arrows to kill from a long distance. Seryth was ahead of the pack and he was screaming out all he had and ran at a very powerful force, his sword aflame and his empty hand ready to throw a few fireballs. Slashing and hacking, the Flesh Keepers went down- dead. The men were winning, though this was their darkest hour. There were more roars as another wave of Flesh Keepers ran, blood dripping from their claws. To accompany them were three, large, powerful Elites. This could mean the death of a whole army of men. Seryth knew better. Through searching and searching, he discovered the Flesh Keepers' weakest point. It was a spot just at the end of the ribs, in the middle of the chest. The spot was small, but Seryth knew that his sword would not fail him. He ran and ran with all his might until he reached one of the Elites. The Elite sent a claw hurtling downwards, but Seryth jumped away, took aim and flew forward with the might of a great warrior and straight into the Elite's chest. It screamed out in pain. The sound could have reached for miles 'round, even with the walls of the mountain. It stopped breathing and slowly fell to the ground. "One down, two to go." Though the two leftover saw the death of their comrade, they were emotionless, save for the fact that they were roaring at Seryth and sending their sharp claws down on Seryth every which way. Seryth dodged most, though was nicked every now and then. Once the two Elites' rampages were through with, Seryth sent a Single Gyaretto speeding into the Elites'. They had nothing to do but fall over and die. The men cheered for Seryth, though this angered him. "Fools! Focus on your targets, not me! You'll get your head cut off in an instant!" Seryth yelled out. As he said this, two Flesh Keepers jumped at Seryth. Seryth jumped back and sent his sword forward horizontally to send them both bleeding to the ground. Though Seryth had achieved these three victories, he knew that his men were beginning to deplete. He needed to find a way to take out a large mass of the Flesh Keepers- and there was only one way to do it. Seryth called out to his men: "Run this way towards me! Try to gain as much distance as you can from those morbid beasts!" Seryth's army then ran, leaving their enemy behind. Ignoring the questioning of his men (he knew what he was doing), he closed his eyes and focused- focused hard. The Flesh Keepers were getting closer and closer. Seryth had to be quick. His eyes opened wide abruptly as he yelled out. He sent his free hand forward with a jerk and by then, a large blast of fire hit a substantial part of the mountain wall. The stone fell down with a crack and overtook most of the enemy. Those who survived ran away. The battle was won. The army cheered under the command of their leader- Seryth Narovoy. He saved his town and avenged it. He was now satisfied. And for once in a long while, a full smile formed on his mouth. Seryth and his army marched away from their battlefield and went home to receive recognition from the King of town and every citizen living there. It was a great time for him. He felt good. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Days turned into weeks and love had invaded Seryth. A girl of the age of 18 had charmed her way into Seryth's heart. Her name was a Ada-Riku (appearance can be found in family). She was a beautiful girl. Able to wield a bow and wield it powerfully- and Seryth knew- she was the one. As if in some twist of fate, Ada-Riku was caught by a large band of thieves deep inside the Great Forest of Somcha. It is not known as to how Ada-Riku was saved, but Seryth had done it. They had done it together. Weeks passed and it was destined for Ada-Riku and Seryth to meet and court. Seryth loved her and she loved him. And the night came. . . The destined couple were both sitting out at the high tops of the castle Seryth once lived in. They were alone and the time came where it happened. They kissed, and through that kiss showed the couple's destiny. A light red aura began to glow around them as they both floated lightly into the sky. Their eyes were wide, both not knowing what was happening. All they knew was that they loved each other. They both fell down lightly, holding them in each other's arms. Their destinies were intertwined and there was nothing they could do about it. Seryth is now 30 years of age and Ada-Riku 28. They are both happily married and had moved off to a large, rural area filled with tall grass, trees, forest and a small lake. This was the best place for the two to live. Alas, this paradise was short lived as Seryth was quickly sent off by his home town army to help in the defense of the rest of the land. He chose not to lead an army, but to go about it on his own. He only knows that the enemy is multiplying and are much more than some Flesh Keepers. Ada-Riku wished to come with her love, but Seryth refused. She then took it upon herself to go alone, to help save her homeland. She could fight, and that was exactly what she would do. . . Last edited by Abaddon; 06-08-2006 at 03:54 PM.. |
