The Inverted Song of Time

I've seen a lot of complaints about the time limit in Majora's Mask and how it doesn't give you enough time. I rarely have problems with the timer, even on my first playthrough, so I'm just wondering whether most people are aware of the Inverted Song of Time.
The scarecrows in Clock Town tell you about it: you play the Song of Time backwards and time slows down. But I guess it's fairly easy to miss that advice.

So, did you use the Inverted Song of Time? Did not knowing about it make you give up on the game?

The game would be quite hard without the Inverted Song of Time. It'd be very annoying and I couldn't imagine playing the game without it, especially during the process of going through a dungeon.

I used it practicaly all the time. In fact I don't even know how different the game would be without it on!

I definitely knew about it beforehand. Knowing that I could slow the flow of time is what made me willing to play the game in the first place.

Without some kind of time-slowing ocarina song, the designers would have to make the days significantly longer. You couldn't get much done when the three days go by in a matter of minutes.

The fact that you can alter the flow of time is what makes MM appealing. If you couldn't slow/speed up time, the game just wouldn't be the same, and I'm sure more people would have a problem with it.

I used it all the time (except fighting thoses aliens in romani ranch. It would have taken you like a half and hour). It was really good in dungeons cause it gave you a lot more time.

I knew about it, but kept forgetting about it until I got to Stone Tower Temple.

Go figure.

I used it most of the time, and found the game much more enjoyable.

Time wasn't an issue with the song, you just needed to do some well thought out planning.

I used it every time. Its the only way to beat a dungeon, get all the dungeon fairies, and accomplish everything in that particular area in three days. Example: beating Snowhead temple, getting all the fairies, then still having enough time to goron race, get the gold dust, and forge your sword (assuming its already tempered or sharpened or whatever).

I used it most of the time, to complete all the temples in one three day cycle. After i beat the Temples once, i only needed to use it when i was doing the events in the notebook.

yeah the inverted song of time was very useful, giving you enough time to do a temple fully, and find all the stray fairies lurking in them.

I would have gone crazy without it! I always used the inverted song of time I'm glad they made it ^_^

I used it so much, it almost seemed like a reflex. Immediately after I started playing, Pop! Out comes me old Ocarina, slowin' down time again... Makes me wish there was a song that sped up time without going a whole half day ahead... <_<

I knew it because of the scarecrow in the trade post but i used it only on the temples, and to get the 7 zora eggs, ah! and Anju's mask quest !

I just used it cuz I love exploring and it gives me pretty much all the time in the world. It'll help the dungeons (yes that's future tense, I just started today) because you lose keys when you play the song of time.

I used it a lot. Never would have finished without it
