I've had enough!

I've had enough of it. I play runescape a lot. Lately, I'm trying to do a lot of things, and it's lagging for about 5 seconds every 5 seconds. I can't play my frikin game! And in that 5 seconds i got killed and lost my stuff.

Any solutions?

Um...stop playing? Runescape really does not do anything for you, anyways. It's a child's game.

I don't wanna stop playing. I like the game, and i've worked really hard and long on my account.

Don't play anymore. It's too addicting. Plus, it's not all that good. It takes MONTHS out of your life (this comes from personal experience).

If you do really want to play it, I suggest closing down other programs that are running and/or processes (just make sure you know what processes need to be closed). It may be your internet connection. Try only opening one tab or window. And don't try downloading stuff while playing either. And if you share an internet connection on a network, make sure the other computer isn't taking up most of the bandwidth. And finally, try selecting the low detail mode. There's less lag time when playing RS on that mode.

The only thing i have running is AIM Triton. I guess the radio is slowing it down.

I hate playing with no music, but whatever.

Really man, runescape is a waste! I havent even played it, but from what I here it turns you into a loser.

Some dorks from my school play it and thats all they talk about! God I just wanna break his neck when he asks me if I play it! I mean come on, me playing runescape!? Yeah right!

Upgrade your RAM, upgrade your CPU, and then upgrade your ventilation system in the computer tower. Afterward, scan for viruses and spyware/adware. Lastly, upgrade your video card if it's ancient in age.

Or... play Runescape on another computer at your house if you have more than one and see how well that works.

Buy world of warcraft or Guild wars, no subscription required!

You mean Guild Wars doesn't require a subscription. WoW does.

Maple story is definately better, but neither one of them is much good anyway. If he really needs a good MMO, then he'll get WoW, GW, or maybe FFXI if he's desperate and an FF freak.

Anyway, is it possible that perhaps your internet and computer just aren't fast or powerful enough for the game?

EDIT: Oh, and guys, stop telling him to quit, it's already been established that noone likes the game, but it's also clear he likes it and wants to continue playing.

There is nothing wrong with runescape, I play a Little too, And I've had this simmilar problem, just open up another internet browser and it should lag less.

Updating your Java engine might help as well. I don't see how, but it wouldn't hurt, right?
