I did think it seemed like the average first-person shooter setting. I suppose there isn't much you can do about it, though. I, for one, think the magnetic use of the iron boots is very interesting and unique, despite the fact that the machinery may not feel quite Zelda-like.

I don't really follow the Metroid Prime series; I'm not a big fan of first-person cameras. I don't think the dungeon really reminded me of Metroid, but it did make me think of some kind of online first-person shooter. I've watched my friends play those countless times and they always have the same dull atmosphere. But hey...without dull atmospheres, you can't have vivid atmospheres. I think it'll fit with the game. Mines are supposed to be dull, and this clip from TP actually looks rather interesting for a mine. I'm thankful for that, anyway.
