History- Xenoc was born in a far off land 24 years ago. His parents decided to leave Hyrule before he was born. While he was still young, his father, Zartak Herdaes, was drafted for war. Zartak went up quickly in rank. Only after 4 years, he ranked all the way up to Army General. The war, which later went on to be called the Terdraks War, has been going on for many years. When Xenoc was 18, he was also drafted. He went to the academy for 4 years. He met his future team there, a girl named Katheryn (who was drafted because of her sword skills), a man named Skal, and his father. After he left the academy, the army called the team on their first mission. The enemy was a Gerudo man from Hyrule. Xenoc's team was to stop the man from reaching their main stronghold, the academy. With Zartak leading the mission, it was a success. The Gerudo man, Ranedsen, and his army were killed. Zartak, Xenoc, Katheryn, and Skal were not needed for another 7 months. This time, it wasn't anything they ever seen or heard of. It was the Poes, evil spirits commanded by Ganondorf, the Gerudo General. None of the entire army has ever battled a Poe, as only a few haved lived in Hyrule, where they come from. Since Zartak was one of the most powerful fighters in the army, His team was called to this mission. Zartak grabbed his long sword and small shield and Xenoc grabbed the Yedonkeit. Xenoc and his team were ready for this mission. They set out. The team saw it better for them to split up into small groups. Xenoc and Zartak went northwest while Katheryn and Skal went northeast. Xenoc and his father were walking for about 10 minutes when a violet colored Poe appeared in front of them. Xenoc swung his sword right through it. It did absolutely nothing. Zartak tried to find a weak spot. He didn't. He and Xenoc tried many other strageties. Xenoc came up with one. "Father! We haven't been obseving the surroundings! It seems to be in only the shadows of the trees and other tall objects! It's weakness must be light! Oh... but how will we "bring light" to the Poe?" They thought about this for a few minutes. "Son, I think I found a solution," said Zartak. His went under a sunny spot. He held up one of his golden braces. Light reflected onto it. Xenoc found it out! Zartak moved the brace into the direction of the Poe. Once the light hit it, it staggered back! Zartak continued this for a few seconds. It suddenly became solid! Xenoc swung the Yedonkeit vertically with all his might. It went right into the Poe. A cloud of black smoke appeared where the Poe once was. It cleared. The Poe was gone. They were now more worried. What if Katheryn and Skal ran into a Poe? Zartak said, "Xenoc, go find them. I'll be worried if they run into of of these Poes without the knowledge to defeat them. Take this brace. I have another. Go, and hurry!" Zartak threw his son the brace. Xenoc ran as fast as he could to find the others.
Katheryn and Skal were walking through some dark woods. They knew that they should be watching out for these Poes, but it has been a while since they started walking and all they had found was one Hyrulian Moglin. It was a little too easy. They had slowed down. They weren't too worried. All they were looking for was the Poes commander (if they had one, they really didn't know). Skal sat down and rested against a tree. He really wasn't worried. They rested for about 9 minutes when Xenoc came rushing up to them. "Xenoc? What are you doing here?" asked Katheryn. "These Poes *huffhuff* are stronger than we thought, but we have found the weakness!" exclaimed Xenoc. Xenoc told them about the encounter Zartak and he had had. He told them that they should either use Katheryn's shield or Skal's scythe to reflect light. They exchanged stories a few minutes, and then Xenoc left to find his father again. He traveled about the same distance he traveled to find the others, but Zartak wasn't there. He looked around a few more minutes, but he wasn't there. "Wha....? Where could he have gone?" asked Xenoc to himself. "Hello there, Xenoc," said a familiar, but evil voice from behind him.
Katheryn and Skal had walked a long time when they finally found it. The Poe's stronghold. It looked as if it was built to be a cemetery building. They entered it. Only one room was in it. It was very dark, the same darkness as the night. " Hehehehehehehehehehe," they heard all around them. A few seconds later, around 20 Poes appeared around them. "Uh-oh," said Skal. There was no light! They looked around. The windows were covered up by banners. [i]That's it![i] thought Skal. He threw his scythe at the banner. It ripped. It now had a large hole in it and light reflecting through it! He told Katheryn. She reflected the light off her shield and the Poes turned solid. Skal swung them with his scythe, and they were gone. A fire was suddenly lit (probably from the window, which was made from the same material as a magnifying glass). They used it to burn down the stronghold. The mission was over. Or was it?
Xenoc turned around. It was Zartak! Only, something was different about him. His eyebrows were more slanted then usual, and he had a large smirk on his face. His voice was, well, it's was hard for Xenoc to describe, but, just.... Evil. Zartak ran towards Xenoc with his sword up, as if ready to strike. He swung at Xenoc, but Xenoc jumped out of the way at the last minute. "What was that??" asked Xenoc. But Zartak was already running towards him again. Xenoc didn't dodge this one but defended with his large sword. "Father, what are you doing??????" asked Xenoc. "Heheh, Xenoc. Haven't you always wanted to be like me?" said Zartak. "What are you talking about?" asked Xenoc. "Well," said Zartak. "You never expected me to turn to the other side, did you? The side of the Gerudoes? The side of Ganondorf!" Xenoc looked at him strangely. Why would his father turn to the other side? The Hylians worked for good! The Gerudoes were evil! Xenoc had many emotions at the time. Anger, Sadness, Hate, Fear, Love, and others. That CAN'T be his father. It was an evil spirit. He just knew it. He swung his sword at his "father". His father blocked and tried to counter with a low horizontal strike. Xenoc jumped and tried to counter with a midair vertical strike. Zartak rolled left. Xenoc slashed horizontally at Zartak's head. Missed. Zartak jumped over Xenoc. He tried to attack his back. Xenoc ducked. The battle went on like this for many hours. They were both equally matched. Zartak tried to jump over Xenoc again, but while he was above Xenoc's head, Xenoc put his sword straight up. It went right through the phantom. Xenoc saw a Poe come out from Zartak. It said, "Haha, Xenoc! By killing me...you killed your own father!..... *Cough*...Hahahaa.......ha...a........." It was dead. Xenoc dropped his father on the ground. "I'm sorry, father," said Xenoc with tears in his eyes. "It's okay, son........ you have exiled all Poes from this land.......you did the......right thing......good....bye.....Xenoc.................. ......" said Zartak. These were his final words. Xenoc knew that his father was right. He didn't know what he meant by "exiled all Poes in the land", but it must have meant something important. How could Poes be exiled by killing only the one inside his father? He didn't have time to think about this. He walked on and found Katheryn and Skal. Their team still had missions to come. The war rages on.
