A Choice of Fates
OoC:Ok since I have completely given up on my previous fic as it was complete crap and I don't see any point in continuing on with it I have decided to start a more CJ influenced fic about how Mesfido(Tueor at this point) and Celina meet and the events that follow.

A Choice of Fates
Chapter 1
A crimson mist rose from the ground. The red haze blurred the dark sunrise. Black clouds of smoke silhouetted against the skyline. The crackling of dieing fires could be heard dimly in the backdrop. The stench of decay hung about the place like a plague. One single body stood among the black ash.
* * * *
A gentle river curved through the luscious green landscape, its bends and meanders curving gently like the flow of a soft beautiful hypnotising melody. The clear water ran slowly along the moist river banks bringing with it the waters of life. A small school of young salmon could be seen nestling in against a tiny solitary island, their minature silvery scales reflecting the bright rays of sunlight onto the stony riverbed. Long thin reeds swayed gently with the slow current as it ran over their flexible smooth leaves. A king fisher sat silently between the branches of a small drooping willow tree carefully scanning the clear water with its tiny black pupils.
A young woman stood bathing within the calm current, the cool water running across her silky bare skin cleansing it of the impurities of dirt it carried. Her slender hand ran through her fine auburn hair passing the beautifully clean water through its roots. Carefully she placed her soft hands apon the thin damp blades of grass and lifted herself from the soothing waters. Elegantly, she picked her silken robe from the fresh ground and draped it around her fair shoulders.
The leaves of the willow rustled. The girl’s eyes snapped to source of the noise. Her piercing gaze penetrated the thick pale green leaves. Her eyes stopped at the sight of the beautiful kingfisher watching the river silently. She turned her attention back to what she had been doing. Cautiously she started to tie a knot around her waist with the thin chord of silk that hung from the sides of her crimson bathing robe.
A gentle northerly wind blew over the tranquil landscape rustling the leaves of the scattered trees that rested apon the serene river banks. The small blue and orange kingfisher took flight from its perch on the pallid willow branch. Small ripples spread from its tiny beak as it dipped into the water only to emerge empty. The striking bird flew further up river in hope of better luck.
The young woman began the quiet walk back up to the large white villa on top of the gently sloping hill. Gracefully treading along the narrow path she, as she always did, admired the beauties all around her. A fresh wind blew beneath her small delicate nose carrying the scent of sweet spring flowers with it. Instantly images of flower filled field formed inside her mind’s eye. Flowers of every shape, size and colour seeped into her imagination. A sunlight glade of daffodils, tulips, crocuses, snowdrops and bluebells surrounded by a circle of pure silver trees lined with shining greyish-green leaves was the product of her imagination.
The fluttering of wings woke her from her daydream. Quickly her eyes searched the bright blue sky, looking for a sign of the creator of the sound. Her eyes never rested once but neither did they come across any sign of anything. Unwillingly the woman turned her back on the beautiful river and walked through the arch of the gigantic country villa. She walked silently through the passages of the building until she came to her own room. Tiredly she collapsed on top of her soft violet bed.
Lying down against the velvety pillow she gazed out of the large empty window frame. Her keen eyes caught a strange movement through the leaves of the willow tree which she could just pick out in the distant. She swore she had seen a pair of gigantic white wings accompanied by a large man. Before she could take anything else they were gone. They had vanished within that very second.
OoC: I'd love to hear peoples thoughts and critics on this. The next chapters will all follow in due time.
