Ah yes, the infamous spaceworld video. This was not Twilight Princess in it's infancy, it was a tech demo for the Nintendo's project dolphin. (On more familiar terms, the Nintendo Gamecube).

I think those details are fairly accurate. My memory is not what can be described as reliable. Needless to say that when people first began preaching their anger and hate upon the preliminary Wind Waker screens compared to the spaceworld footage, all was forgiven when they actually played the game.
