Re: In this corner... [graceful_shiek]

OoC: Yeah, I know what really happened, I followed that little quest. But Kai doesn't. And they aren't exactly lovers because that would be a little wierd, to say the least.

BiC:

"It was your fault?" the dragoon asked. It was obvious that this new person was part of this alliance and was sorry for what happened to Latio.

"No, no, Isis," the foxfolk reassured, "It wasn't exactly your fault. You didn't try to get me attacked." Still, he cast his eyes downwards, as if not sure what to do.

"Still," Kai interrupted, "It's doesn't change the fact that it did happen. It is true that Latio has gotten stronger while with you people but at the price of losing control?" She wasn't trying to be controlling, she just cared for the fox.

"He doesn't lose control all the time," the goddess countered, "And if he stays with us, he'll probably find a way to get rid of the curse." She then directed her attention to Latio, "Don't you want to stay with us? Or are you really going to betray us?" Isis narrowed her eyes.

The foxfolk shook his head, "I'm not going to betray the Oblivion Alliance, just... leave."

The goddess drew a slender sword, "I can't let you do that, Latio." Latio stepped back a bit and held his claws out in front, ready to defend himself but not eager to do so. Kai, however, drew her own sword and was ready to fight this Isis. Until she looked at her sword.

A small yelp escaped her lips and the goddess let out a little snicker. "Kai, what's wrong?" the fox asked, concerned.

In the fogginess that led her to believe that the battle last night was a dream, she had completely forgotten about her sword. Now, seeing the melted half-blade, it all came back to her. "Latio," she said in shock, "You melted my sword."

"Oh..." was all he could say as the memory came back to him, also. The dragoon sighed with some saddness but with more annoyance. Looks like she would have to fight this battle without her scimitar.
