Hey Comrade.

I used to really love Risk, but I'm starting to phase it out. If me and my friends start up a game of Risk, it usually hijacks the evening and we can't do anything else. Also, it usually turns into a big political mess, as no one ever wants to do the dirty work themselves. Sometimes that game is just fun to make a suicide run and tear through an opponent's army, just because you're tired of playing.

My favorite board game is probably Clue. Fairly simple game, but fun. It's fun to tease people who make dangerous assumptions about the cards...

Monopoly is good too, but takes a long time. I usually have to cap the game at 1 hour or so. And besides, how can an iron be a landowner? Inconceivable.
