That's in the bible. Belive it. The next chapter is even worse. But thats another contraversialy subject. But yeah, if that was now, bye bye san-fransico. You can be smart and gay, but you can also be smart, and not gay.

If you ask me, it seems that Sodom and Gommorah were destroyed because of the evil that was running rampant through the land, not necessarily the homosexuality. Those men were going to rape the other two men, it's not like they were going to have consensual sex. Rape is obviously an evil thing. It's because of things like this that Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed. Also, homosexuality - to some degree - occurs in other species of animals other than humans. It's not a conscious choice to be homosexual. More often than not, homosexuals are born that way. The only other reason I can think of homosexuality occurring is as a result of significant trauma, such as a woman who is a lesbian because she was raped or molested by a man when she was much younger, or a man who hates women because of an abusive mother, or something like that. Otherwise, it's likely a hormone imbalance or something that occurred during the development of the fetus. Maybe it's even in the genes, since in the past, those who were homosexual would most likely have had to have heterosexual relations and procreate or face execution.
With it being said that homosexuality isn't a conscious choice and is simply how some people are, I think that homosexuals should have the right to marry. If a religion wants to ban it, that's one thing; but the state should recognize the unions of these people.
