She's trying to get to speak to Mr. Bush, and currently all eyes are on this. It doesn't look good for protestors to be marching around the White House, does it? So, naturally, she's hoping that they will bend and allow her to speak with the President.
I think you and cdx75xmx are kinda missing the point, but I could be horribly wrong. I am pretty tired, heh. =/
