Re: Cindy Sheehan
Many parents children have died in the Iraq war, most of the parents honored the sacrifices their children made, others (Sheehan) driven by politics, decide to use their sons death to bolster support for their political agenda. Many soldiers who have known Cindy Sheehan's son believe that he would be rolling over in his grave if he knew of her mothers exploits. The mostly anti-war media has used Cindy Sheehan as a symbol of the pain suffered by mothers of fallen heros. Cindy Sheehan and the media want to send the symbol that George Bush doesnt care about those who died in Iraq, even though he has offered to discuss this problem with many parents, some for the war, some against. Cindy Sheehan wants to play the role of a revolutionary against Bush, in many ways she has succeded. But the sheer amount of publicity this woman has gained is a reminder of the political leanings of the American media, as well as a thorn in the side of our troops in Iraq. Our troops are for the war and no matter your political leanings, you should show utter support for their choice to to fight as well as remain there. They dont want to be brought home, they have seen the faces of the Iraqi children, and of the men they freed from Saddam. I believe our troops are heros. They volunteered to fight for their nation and their choice should be honored.
I dont really like Cindy Sheehan.
