Awesome video game idea

I have an awesome idea for a video game:

Johnny is walking home from school one day, when all of a sudden he runs in to Billy. Billy, who previously was drinking Dr. Pepper, kills Johnny.

Now you, as Johnny's father, must go out and destroy all soda. Why? Because the soda programmed Billy's mind with taste and carbonation, teaching him how to kill and use a gun (The movement of chugging a soda overly resembles the shooting of a gun! Science says so!). You must kill all soda, and anybody associated with it, for causing Billy to become violent! If you don't, the terrorists have won.

Ok, ok. I'm not serious. That's not some awesome game idea. It's just my attempt at mocking Jack Thompson, who has said something completely retarded! (again)

Basically he said that he'd give ten thousand dollars to a charity if someone makes a game over a father who avenges his son's death, at the hands of a gamer, by destroying all video game companies.

Ha ha, thats funny. It would have been more helpful though, if you had posted the link in your first post and explained what you ment by your satire.

Anyways, that was an intresting read. It would be intresting if Rockstar decided to make a game like that. Id like to see the results of that.

Its intresting how people blame the videogames for ones actions, rather then the person. The way I see it, is that those people who commit the crimes were already messed up in the head and it would have been sooner or later before they snapped.

If you want to ban one form of entertainment, then you should ban all forms of entertainment.

IHN, by you telling other people to not rent a mod, you yourself are rent a modding. And by me telling you that your rent a modding, I myself am rent a modding. So its like a big cycle of rent a modding. Just thought I pointed that out. Intresting read by the way.

Yeah, I guess I am just a bit (but at least I had more to say than just that). Also, I kind of assumed some more people would know about this little thing. Should have known better than to assume.

Anyway, one of the weirdest things he does is completely ignore the fact that the ESRB has listed these games as Mature, and that kids aren't suppose to purchase or play them. Rather than enforcing the rating, though, he just goes on about how we should ban them. Apparently he doesn't realize people over 12 play video games....

Seriously though, nice satire on every gamers favorite lawyer, Jack Thompson. I never even knew he wanted a game like that (about destorying game companies) until I read the article. God, how good does he get?

Seriously, though, how deep does the well of retardation go? Every new thing he has to say on video games blatantly ignores any and all sense. Oh, not to mention he's kind of a hypocrite. Vgcats and Penny-arcade both have statements from him which show he's an angry, violent man. You also have to wonder what he's going to say if his game does get made. Will he punish himself for putting out a violent game that fueled murder?

Actually, I think he'd probably just blame the company who made it for fueling murder, and then when the retort that he wrote the story, he'd sit back smugly and accuse them of giving his adult story to children (because only children play video games). What a prick.

Jack Thompson, the world's most idiotic man. This will all be funny when he blames his own idea for the influence of murder. It's bound to happen.

IHN made a very valid point about the hysteria surrounding video games. It's ironic that Jack Thompson's proposal actually argues with its own premise (ie. O.K protests against violence in games by enacting the violence in games on developers and their innocent families) and raises more questions about what kind of society condones violence in games in the first place.

If I was feeling a little bit more vindictive, guys, there would have been multiple warnings here. You know not to rent-a-mod. We have real mods for that. And this thread stays open, so the rent-a-modding was particularly wrong, eh?

This is funny! This can be Thompson's greastest downfall. He's offering anyone $10,000 to make a video game about a parent getting revenge for the death of his son. Thompson's game project includes violent context, which he's so much against. Thompson is such a retard, why would he created a video game full of violence?

If this game get created, Thompson is going to get so much backlash from those who are against violence in games, but I am thinking about this:

If this game ever do get created and launched on the market with so much violent, I have high doubts that Thompson will get in trouble for having violense in games, hell, I even bet my soul that people will praise him for this idea, blinded by the fact that Thompson is being a hypocrit, saying that he's against violent games, but he's funding money for a video game company and a chairty of their choice if that conpany can produce a violent game about a man getting revenge after his son had died from the hands of a gamer.

Oh Jack Thompson, what crazy ideas will you think of next?

I still think that this is not out of the ordinary, on your part, I mean. Are you familiar with a machine gun called a Thompson? Eat dirt, Thompson!! Kind of ironic, seeing as people will do just about anything these days, he just killed himself. Thompson is, um, kind of going overboard.

...But when you think about it, it's a good thing if some one does make a game like that, 'cause then, 10,000 dollars to CHARITY... All for a good cause... maybe...

It's times like these where I wish I was a game developer....with my arrogance I'd probably end up making it and shoving it infront of his face. Knowing Rockstar, they just may very well come up with a game like this. Jack Thompson has been running his mouth for years and the Game Industry has yet to see a blow that has the potential of removing games.
