Favorite Enemies

The Legend of Zelda games contain many different and unique enemies to battle. Everyone's got their favorites, mine are (OoT) Dark Link, (MM) Dinolfos, and (WW) Darknuts. These are such great enemies, as they pose some bit of a challenge while fighting. I hope they have Dark Link as at least a sub-boss in Twilight Princess, but it would be even greater to face him as a full-fledged boss. What do you think?

Re: Favorite Enemies

I quite like the ones you mentioned, as well as the Iron Knuckles from OoT. The Nabooru one from Spirit Temple is a personal favourite, simply because of the comedy moment before the fight.

Re: Favorite Enemies

Are you (Hylian Z) saying that you even like the Darknuts from The Legend of Zelda? I hated those things, always changing their direction and half the time coming right back at me. And are you talking about the Adventure of Link Iron Knuckles or the Ocarina of Time Iron Knuckles?

Re: Favorite Enemies

I also found the Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask Iron Knuckles to be very good enemies. They were very fun to fight, in that you had to always be on your toes, otherwise you get hit with enough force to break a stone pillar.

Na dont like those ones just the modern 1s, but I like the challenge

EDIT: O and I just relised when I said all forms I meant to say all forms in TWW, probably because it was the only good bit in the whole game. (my opinion I dont want to here any comebacks or complaints)

Re: Favorite Enemies

I'm leaving out the bosses. My favourites are:
OoT: - Dark Link (because he's not a huge monstrous thing, but the same as Link... with the same abilities)
- Gerudo Guards because they're so fast and have double swords, and Stalfos because every hero needs classical skeleton warriors as enemies
- Poes because you can beat them only when you're not z-targeting...and they're funny

WW: - the giant squid things that hide in the Great Sea... because it's fun to practise your aim with the on-board-cannon
- Poes again, because they can hex you...and they're dead funny when they discover that they're solid
- Chu Chu's in all their forms, and Miniblins, because they attack in groups and it's fun to go berserk with your sword until there are none of them left (muahahah)

MM: - Garo! Because they are cute little ninja- ghosts who put up a show, and when they lose their weapon they just sit there and try to hide behind their cloaks

ALttP: - those little pig guys who attack you with pitchforks.

On a Side Note

Since Dark Link seems to be such a popular enemy, I have a few things to say about him. First of all, since he is such a challenge and is so fun to fight, you can use Farore's Wind to make a warp point in the room with Dark Link. Then, save and quit the game. Copy that file onto an empty one, and ta-daa! You can fight Dark Link any time you want! Also, for those of you who played Master Quest, doesn't it seem like Dark Link is harder than before? Just what I thought.

Re: Favorite Enemies

My favourite enemies have got to be the Iron Knuckles from OoT and the Darknuts from WW; I must say that I quite enjoyed defeating the Gerudo Thieves in OoT, and seein them just collapse after one arrow...funny...The Dinolfos are also one of my favourites aswell.

Re: Favorite Enemies

Darkknuts:
They never posed too much of a threat, but it seemed so cool. You had to dash behind them, and then counter them real quick. It relied on agility a lot, and they were quite cool once they lost their armour!

Any Sea Creature:
In Wind Waker, these creatures really annoyed me, especially the sharks which followed you. However, it was so fun just to pound their face in with a bomb. It's like 'showed you'. So gratifying.

Iron Knuckle:
This was my favourite enemy ever. The way the iron knuckle has such raw power, and shouts out whenever he tries to knock into you. Then it loses it's armour, and chases you. It was a bit of a challenge, but to be honest, I had more trouble with Stalfos, so people who say he's well hard, he's not. I found him pretty easy.

Moblin:
These guys are just funny. They're like blockheads. They were pretty annoying though, with their sticks and lanterns. They actually posed a bit of a challenge.

Stalfos:
These guys were more like mini bosses. They were the only good swordfight in the game. You always had to be alert, raising shield, and stabbing at right moments. And their weird laughs were creepy.

Re: Favorite Enemies

So many people like Iron Knuckles. Well, in Master Quest, you can fight as many as you want in Ganon's Castle. In the spirit section, you shoot an eye switch to make an Iron Knuckle drop so you can get to the switch that opens the next room. Well, if you defeat an Iron Knuckle in that room, the eye switch resets so if you shoot it again, another Iron Knuckle drops. This can be done as many times as you want.

Re: Favorite Enemies

I did not know this. How did I not know this? I am supposed to know everything about Zelda! Oh well. This is actually very interesting. I was always wanting to fight the Iron Knuckles over and over again. Those guys are so fun. So I guess I traded my Dark Link trick for your Iron Knuckle Trick. Hahaha! You got the worse end of the deal! Don't feel too bad. Actually, this is very cool. I'm sure most people who played Ocarina of Time and loved it enjoyed fighting the Iron Knuckles. Anyone who hasn't played Ocarina of Time or hasn't beaten it yet (remembering someone I just recently met) has no idea what they are missing. Though its graphics are slightly outdated, it is still a very great game. Thanks for the the trick, I will try it out as soon as I can play Master Quest again.

Fiftieth Post

Well, with 49 posts and not many interesting articles, and this being my own thread, I would like to submit my 50th post. Also, this being my more popular of my two current threads, I would like to thank all of you who replied and all of you who will reply in the future. After this, I am going to take the test to enter one of the clans. I am hoping to be in one soon, mostly Farore. Well, thanks for posting! Now, to the test!

Re: Favorite Enemies

well, good luck with the clan test!

I forgot to mention the giant dodongos in MM, I like to beat them with Epona! If you manage to ride over the dodongo's tail, it gets injured. It's silly, I know, but I liked to do it for some shabby rupees. ^_^

In WW, the moblins are great, too. They're really funny. Especially the smaller ones who sit on rafts in the middle of the Sea.... staring out at the Sea all day, and falling asleep now and then.
I also like the Deku babas in WW, because they're so colourful. First I thought they had bananas in their mouths, later I realised it was the tongue.

You'd be surprised. Very surprised.

Either way, like most here my favourite enemies are the hardest ones. Namely Iron Knuckles and Dark Nuts [two very similar yet blatantly different enemies]. Dark Link is fun. ALL of the bosses own just because of the whole effort put into them. It's great.
