Re: Americans
Americans aren't bad because we're American. We're bad because we're brought up in a way that we learn to be selfish, ignorant, ungrateful, spoiled, and so on. Everybody wants their children to be confident rather than humble and that's what leads to everybody having such high egos. I think that's the biggest problem. So, in general, I guess you could say that I'm not too proud of our people, but I still think that what our nation stands for, along with our values, is the best in the world. I know what all of you in different countries are thinking, "There's that ego again!"
Still, I think that eventually as my generation (and those that follow) reach adult hood, I think America will decline, slow but steady. It's bound to happen eventually. I see all of these lazy, dumb, ghetto, punk or goth kids that are never going to amount to anything, and I'm not sure that we'll be able to continue on in the position we're currently in.
And you know what? If it meant that our country was in the spot light less, or less of a target for terrorism and hate, then I'm all for it.
I'd be lying if I said it didn't piss me off when people from other countries who don't know what they're talking about criticize us. We're not bad people. We are merely ignorant at times.
