Help for Halloween

hey guys. my friends and I are going trick-or-treating this halloween, just to see how much candy we can get. the problem is, most of us will be 19. adults are stupid and give more candy to the little ones. so I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to conceal my age. I was thinking of dressing up as a ghost, and putting a sheet over me and kneeling in front of the door. but I have 3 other people who need to hide their age too. any ideas? it's not easy being 6'1 with a low voice...

Re: Help for Halloween

Do you have any young siblings or young friends? You can act as a chaperone for the kid, that way you seem like you're out having fun and not just being old and 'taking advantage of kids'.

Um...no. You don't want to get to involved with the people you're trying to get candy from. I mean, all you do is walk up and say 'trick or treat'! And if they question you say you're with the kid I suggested you bring earlier and you're helping him get the most candy possible, or that you have a sibling at home whos sick so you're getting candy for them. Don't go find a kid that can't eat candy.

Re: Help for Halloween

Well, let's see... how about you just wait after Halloween and buy all the discounted candy? I mean, you're almost 19 and I'm pretty sure you have a job. If not, you could probably find $3 in change around the house or borrow it from someone. It's much easier than going out in the cold (unless you live in an area that doesn't get cold during this time of year) and begging for candy that is most likely crap.

Re: Help for Halloween

You could just do what I do. If your parents/grandparents/whoever your staying with give out candy, volunteer to hand out candy for them. Sneak candy into your pockets whenever you can, and if they ask what happened to the candy, just say that a group of tricker treaters came by.

You all should go as ghosts. And, uh...
Your on your own when it comes to the voice. Although I'm 6'1 and have a low voice as well and I might go trick or treatin. Hell, just hrow a halloween party for your friends.

Re: Help for Halloween

For the voice, theres 2 options: buy a voice changer, or record a younger sibling's voice, and put it on a tape recorder.

Yeah. That's always entered my mindset. Last time I want trick or treating was when I was ...twelve. I think I'm still young enough, since I've seen plenty of upperclassmen go around. And most of them are mature looking enough anyways. But I see where you're coming from anyway, for me, it'd just feel really awkward. If I were you, I wouldn't bother but that's just me.

Re: Help for Halloween

You need to hide in the bushes, and scare the living **** out of all the kids who walk by. Take the candy they dropped.

Also, you can get candy if your the candy hander outter. Using a basic slight of hand trick, you can place one peice of candy into their bag while grabbing two or three other peices.

This is how I get my candy.

Re: Help for Halloween

see my original plan was to go around as a group of ghosts. but the whole idea of a group of guys walking around in white robes kinda reminded me of something... maybe we can have some black ghosts and add diversity. I think I have the whole voice thing covered. if everyone says "trick or treat" at the same time, all in falsetto, they'll never be able to tell. or we'll all make monster noises.

I could buy my own candy, but that ruins the point. I mean come on, thousands of houses just giving out candy!

I might try the kneeling on shoes trick. I'll just need a mask and some way of making my arms seem short.
