Ludacris

I don't know about some people but i like Ludacris he's come a long way from just being on a song with Missy Elliot. His songs are very catchy and original and he has way more talent than Lil' John.

please do not post any thing imature like i don't like Ludacris beacuse all rap is stupid.

Re: Ludacris

I'm a fan of Ludacris too. His songs are great for parties and the beats are very catchy. Definitely, in my opinion, not a bad guy.

Re: Ludacris

Yeah I like Luda. First time I've seen him was in.. uh.. the movie 2fast 2furious. He certainly played a great role there. I have his album "The Red Light District" which is very good and has a lot of great songs. There are a lot of older songs by him that I like, maybe I should get some earlier albums sometime...

Re: Ludacris

Haha, Ludacris is one of the only rappers that have the whole stereotypical rap personality that I like. Mainly because he makes me laugh so hard. "What's Your Fantasy" has to be one of the funniest things I've ever heard, and is still my favourite song he's ever done. Though I'm really not a fan of "The Red Light District" or even "Chicken and Beer" (except for "Stand Up"). "Back for the First Time" and "Word of Mouf" are classic though.

Re: Ludacris

Being the Hip-Hop/Rap fanatic that I am, I don't like Ludacris. His lyrics suck, and the only time I would listen to his music is if I was dancing or wanted to just chill.

Re: Ludacris

I am mostly a rap/hip-hop and reggae fan, and Ludacris is a pretty bad artist, some of his videos are funny though.

Re: Ludacris

lol Luda... no no, not my kind of hip hop to be honest. I'm not a big fan of modern day rappers in general, and Ludacris is no exception. "Get back, you don't know me like that"??? Omg.. and he gets rich off that too. Like Numra said, his lyrics are pointless. I can't help but laugh when I listen to his songs cause they're repeatitive and quite the ear beating. But...

... his songs are awesome when I go clubbing ^^- the man does know how to get a party going! On a dancefloor- it's not about lyrics and meaning- nope. It's about catchy tunes and beats- and Ludacris can most certainly do that.

Ludacris is a typical mainstream rapper, minimal talent and ludicrous lyrics.

I have a question for you guys. I'm not really asking you this directly Rhea, but why do lyrics always have to have a point? Why do people look into songs so much? Can't you just have a good time with it and dance or something?

Well, I can't speak for anyone else- but the lyrics of a song for me are very deep and personal. That's why I feel in love with hip hop in the first place. Artists like Tupac, The Roots, Jedi Mind Tricks all put effort into their words and in many cases, I can relate to what they're talking about on a personal level. Yeah, I know that sounds pretty deep, but that's what makes hip hop so great- well, for me anyway.

But yeah, I do enjoy some hip hop for partying reasons too.

Yeah, I can agree with you. I do listen to the lyrics of most songs, but some people act as if is the only thing that makes a song good or not. If the beat is good and you can dance to it, it's alright.

Re: Ludacris

^I most certainly agree with you there! I'm a hardcore clubber- and I love to party. That's the only time that I can enjoy music from the likes of Luda- so I may not like him lyrically, but I love the man at parties.

All rap is not stupid. MOST rap is stupid. Ludacris falls into the long list of mediocre rappers out there today. He's no more talented than I am at baseball (which is pretty damn bad). This is fact: NONE OF LUDA'S SONGS ARE ORIGINAL, JUST OUT OF CONTEXT FROM THOUSANDS OF OTHER SEXUAL, VIOLENT, AND REDUNDANT RAP! It frustrates me when people come up on ZU talking about how rap can be truly inciteful and good and not just defamatory to women and flat out "gangsta." How can people like Pat Robertson target Marilyn Manson and rock in general as bad when 75% of Rap is far worse than any of the music I listen to.
