(dump)achitka's stuff (mostly oekaki)Fa

Since I'm obviously not writing, I thought I post some oekaki's I've drawn instead. This one turned out much better than expected.

Is a cover page for my story Nagori, Saimon and Senkyoku (which I have to get working on again) I know that Tetra's hand is not right - but everytime I messed with it...it got less recognizable - so I left it be

Easily paint. Photoshop is NOT an oekaki program.

Oekaki pictures are drawings done in lower quality programs, such as Paint, Oekaki BBS, or Paint BBS.

Well now that we all know what an oekaki really is...we can move on I suppose. I don't have access to any other art programs so, you guessed it another oekaki..

This is Dark Link, waiting around for that fairy boy to show up...

Really just working on building a better background.

Another one of those in process things... He is a character from a story I'm writing at ZU for Project Mudora - the boy's name is Ceerlin, I am not at all certain how old he is in the 1st probably 10 to 12. the drawing on the lower right is the same character a few years older.

#1 This is how it started
#2I decided I needed more room
#3drew the boy a little older

***This is as far as I got

Just a few more oekaki's

Is the WW version of the Fariy Queen - Venus is cool - and the little faires are clones...I am so lazy sometimes

Is Tetra - not real thrilled with her hair - who know maybe I'll repaint it someday

EDIT: I couldn't take it so I had to fix her hair - well as well as I could

They are pretty good. If you draw like this in Paint (or whatever you use) I want to see what you can do with paper and a pencil!

Good job on the great fairy queen, I like the WW version much more than the OoT great faries who haunt everyone's memories. You did great on all the colors and lines, I don't think I could do that no matter what program I was using. Also, the colors on Tetra's face are very soft and kind looking, you did a superb job on her. Tetra's ears are at different heights and it looks odd... unless her head is slightly cocked in which cane I feel dumb.

Keep up the good work.

I don't have access to a scanner - so the stuff I draw on my lunch - will have to stay where it is for now. I've also misplaced my charcol pencils (again :embrsd: ) is a sad state of affairs. But I've found drawing with a mouse has one advantage - undo

Thank you, still trying to get the hang of drawing things without dark lines - and now that I look at her again... ...her ear is a bit off - ah well

Below is more cover art I'm randomly making for my fanfic - More of that drawing without dark line thing

Haven't had a lot of time to draw and lately the only oekaki's I've made are Chapter cover art

This one is for Chapter Six: Everyone knows it's Windy

He turned out better than I expected - so I share

Not so hard once you get used to the tools...some of the first ones I did were a serious pain - cause I didn't know how to layer and do other things that speed things up a bit. They are fun to make though.

Pretty nice! I REALLY like the one of the WW Fairy Queen. The way she was shaded is really cool, and the background is really smooth and pretty. Great job!

Re: (dump)achitka's stuff (mostly oekaki)Fa

Liking your work achitka. Theres a certain charm about the jagged lines x3 and you seem to have a good concept going of mixing cel shading with paint/like rendering.
"Everyone knows it's windy" is really good. You have a good feeling for where to place th shading correctly, and it works perfectly. (even if you copied from another image, it's really good)

Fairy crossings is a good example of having flat colours contrasting with the more painterly effect of the wings. The slight shading in the hands is a subtle addition .

Tetra needs a wee bit of work anatomy wise, sincer her neck seems to dip into a lower point than her upper arms/shoulders begin. Don't worry too much about the hair =)
Lastly, lazy or not, the final cloning effect of the fairies was brilliant ^__^ I really don't think the fairies are all unique in the game either.. that's the secret .. they're ALL ..clones o_o
The way you achieved the flower thingies behind her was brilliant too =p *has to learn how to use brush strokes to suggest things too*

That's all for now. Keep working on it though, and keep showing your work, hoarding the critique and working on it ^__^
Oh- and edit-undo is exquisite. Besides.. you get extra points for using a mouse.
