Diya

Name: Diya Arabella Thane (Called by Diya, her first name)

Nicknames: Diy, Di (Pronounced Dee)

Age: 17

Race: Enterran

Enterrans look just like humans, except for their odd eye colors and some attributes. They have special senses, such as one that gives them the feeling that someone is coming up behind them before they even reach there, and one that lets you send your thoughts to fellow Enterrans. Those are just the basic abilities, but as an Enterran child grows, they develop their own unique abilities.

Sex: Female

Hair: Soft blonde hair that goes down to her shoulders, flaring up. She has an angle cut in the front. On the tips of her hair are light green highlights.

Eyes: Her eyes and a bit unnaturally light green, with tiny silver specks in them. When she gets angry or upset, they turn to a darker green.

Weight: 130 lbs.

Height: 5 feet 6 inches tall

Weapon: A staff named Orisyn. It is the holy staff believed to have the powers of the God. However, according to legend, you must go through years of training before being able to wield its true power. Diya wasn't the rightful successor to this staff, but why she has it will be explained in the biography. The Orisyn is a silver metal rod that is worn and weathered with ancient runes carved into it. The tips are covered in black metal. Surprisingly, it is not very heavy.

Strengths: Diya is both strong at offense and defense; you may think I'm trying to say she’s good at everything, but she’s not. She may be good at both, but that means she isn't as strong in offense as those who have it as their strongest. She is good at both, but in short, is not as good as others with each. She also has a lot of endurance.

Weakness: One thing Diya lacks is speed, and that can make a great difference. She was never a good runner, and handling her new staff makes it even harder. Sometimes she has a hard time defending against spells, since she relies on her own Enterran abilities and physical ability. I don’t know if this would be considered a weakness, but Diya is terrified of height, claustrophobic, and doesn’t trust other easily. She is not very acrobatic, which makes her even less speedy. She relies on her defense.

Skills: Over her years, Diya has developed some extraordinary skills. She is a natural at making all types of potions; she always carries her best ones for health and energy regeneration. She can tell when people are coming up behind her back, and she can send messages to others minds. She also has the ability to scare the enemy so much; she can freeze it in its tracks. As you can see, these abilities are somewhat helpful in battle. They’re nothing big, but as she fights, she will gain more highly developed skills and abilities.

Appearance: She has smooth skin the color of sandy beaches. She usually wears tight dark green tank top and baggy dark brown pants with lots of pockets. She wears black buckled army boots, also. She wears a black leather belt with small silver spikes; a little of her stomach shows. She wears a black wristband with nothing written on it. Her left ear is pierced with two silver studs. She wears a necklace that is made of a rounded leather string with an old and worn silver ring, covered in ancient designs. Her fingernails are short, and almost never painted. Her face has a much chiseled look, showing lots of authority, even though she doesn’t have much.

Personality: Diya may look like the bad girl type, but deep down is really sweet. She trusts he own instincts alone, and is reluctant to trust others. She would sacrifice her life for any loved one, even her friends.

Bio:
Diya was born in a small village, already having an older brother named Alten. In the first years of her life, she grew extremely close to Alten, and would do anything to protect him.

When she turned five years old, she met a girl named Aimee. Almost instantly, they became best friends. Her child hood was mainly ordinary, the average life of an Enterran (as she later found out, Aimee was Enterran also).

When she was 10, she was introduced to the village temple to worship the God. Encased and deeply set in stone, she first laid her eyes on the Orisyn. She felt an odd pull but didn’t do anything. From then on, she went to the temple every night to worship just like everyone else in the village.

One night when she was 16 years old, she went out into the forest with Aimee. They were to be looking for leaves from a certain plant for a herb to heal wounds, a new one that her mother was developing. Aimee and Diya both knew the forest by heart, and were deeply scared when they got lost. They both got the eerie sensation someone was following them, so they ran; ran as fast as they could. All of the sudden, Aimee came to a stop, looked down, and there was a dead body. She was a young girl who had a bloody chest; who knows why, Diya didn’t see a knife. Aimee, for some reason, looked at a necklace on the girl’s neck and took it. It was a silver chain with a green stone embedded in the bottom; it looked very valuable. Aimee took it, and within 5 minutes they got out of the forest. Aimee believed it to be her lucky charm.
Then, exactly 1 month later on the next full moon, Aimee, Diya, and her 20 year old brother Alten were at a little celebration by the temple. As it struck midnight, Aimee’s eyes flared red. She leapt up and tackled the person across from her to the ground, and with one swift swipe of her dagger, she killed him. She went on a killing rampage that night… and as Diya ran for her life, she noticed that the green stone on the necklace was now red.

Alten was caught in that rampage of hers, and Diya and her mother nearly saved him. Diya cried for months, when one morning she woke up and found the devilish necklace on her dresser. Immediately she ran off to the library; she had some research to do. She found at that the necklace was part of a legend. It had to be reunited with the good part of the necklace, and then guarded in Middle Earth by a chosen guardian. It was then that Diya stole the Orisyn, much to her dismay (but she knew she had to), and set off to find the good half of the necklace.
