How do you make animated gifs?

Okay, this sounds n00bish, how do you make animated gifs? Do you need a program to do it, because if I need a program then tell me where to go to get this program? I really want to know.

Uhh. Try download.com and look for Microsoft GIF Editor. Or something of that sort.

I use Flash. After your done making your movie, export it as an animated gif. But beware, photobucket messes it up if it's more than 250 kb's, so keep it small and compact.

Hey, Lord Ganon. You could even try Movies 13 at www.jansfreeware.com. You have to unzip it with WinZip before you use it though. I use that. I showed it to Guardian of Ice and Kagun, they used it, well, I think they kind of use it.

It's pretty easy to use. I don't think you'll really need help with that program. If you look around, there's even more stuff you can use on that site.

use MS GIF animator. it's simple, small, and much like paint..er, no.

I wanted to know that also.. Download a GIF editor? about how long would that take to download on aol? Would i need a sprite sheet too?

aol what? like dial up, or DSL?
even on dial up it wont be more than like 7-8 min.
And if you have a sprite sheet, you have to cut up each sprite and put it into the gif maker-thing.

Oh.. so i CAN only use Sprite Sheeets then? because i have a few.Im good with computers but when it come to sprites and sprite comics,im nothing

I use Jasc Animation Shop, got it with Paint Shop Pro. Don't know if there's a trial version available.

And for the Best Digital Animating and creation of images; Adobe Photoshop Creative Suite 2 With Adobe ImageReady CS2 But you could just get a sig maker to get you an animated gif.

Edit: The GIF editor is for Windows 95.
