Death
If a moderator closes this for whatever reason, I can understand. It surprises me that a thread like this wasn't created sooner, or at all, but I composed a search and came up with nothing.
What is the one thing that mankind will never understand or truly know what is like? The one thing that man has pondered so much throughout the history of human beings as we know it is none other than death.
In earlier years, I thought about death a lot. What in the heck happens when you die? Is there a heaven, or hell? I would ponder about it constantly, my greatest fear would of course be dying. So what happens? What decides heaven and hell? Okay, people have without-a-doubt claimed the existance of heaven and hell as we know it, but what exactly happens in these places. What's heaven like, what's hell like?
Answer: Nobody really knows. Anybody who has experienced death, would never be able to tell anybody about it.
Get this, you have dreams about death right? Dying? You have dreams where you are falling from infinate places, if you have a fear of heights. You have a fear of getting eaten by dogs, a fear of canines. You have a fear of drowning, you sink, and just as you are about to pass away...
You wake up.
What the heck is up with that? The only way I can interpet this is that since we have no absolute clue on how painful death is, at all, or what happens after. This is exactly why we cannot dream about it.
This isn't a topic dealing with religion, this is a topic dealing with the fact that no matter what religion you are, you still have no absolute clue what being dead or dying feels like. That's the only point I'm truly trying to make.
