Class recomendations...In grade 8 it doesnt really matter so much, i suggest taking the ones that are broad for your career oppertunities. But if you went to a school like mine, the only real things there are to choose are either shop(wood, metal) Its kind of fun if you like seeing instant results other than waiting for a stinking mark..., arts(art, drama, band) no comment, in my opinion i think these are designed as punishment(i hate art), and Computer Assisted Design and Drafting Which is pretty cool , designing your own stuff and such. And for the most part, if you really want to, you can go back and do a grade 8 subject in grade 9.
Another piece of advice, STAY AWAY FROM THE FADS (pokemon,yu gi oh, beyblade) They blow over within a month and leave your wallet bare.
If You had a teacher who really tried to "get you ready" for highschool, Guess what, in getting you ready they gave you more work than you get in highschool(first year anyway). And never cram anything last minute, it doesnt work.
And for the #1 get known quick scheme start a food fight!!! Though in reality they dont happen much(there was ONE all year) You get noticed fast, hehe. As for friends, just hang with people like you, And if people annoy you/get you in trouble Just ignore them, dont talk to them and shut them out, theyre the ones who get you into bad *CENSORED* ok?
