Grade nine isn't the most difficult of things, trust me. It's pretty easy to make friends because, like K9doggie said, everyone else there is just like you. Gym is probably the easiest way to make friends, that's how I met most of mine, and it's a fun class. The classes are, of course, harder, but it's going to get just as much harder as it was when you went from kindergarten to grade 1. I'm going into 11 right now, and trust me, going up in grades during high school is the same as in elementary school (okay, except for the fact that they'll actually fail you, rather than just say "try harder next time"). Maybe I'm just a naturally smart person, because the academic aspect of Secondary School wasn't a big difference to me. All I have to say, is that it's going to be difficult if you believe it is. I went into the ninth grade thinking it was the easiest thing, and it was for me. Others thought it was dreadful, and it was for them. (Okay, cheesy line, but it's kinda true...)
