Re: FanFic: Fire in the Shadows

And continued again... (Continuation 3)

Odessa laughed. "I hate it when you do that!" her voice seemed to boom inside of his room because of the fact that his ceiling is so high up. The billowing scartlet drapes that were usually pulled back to let light shine through were now blocking the veiw of the coutyard.

He seemed to notice that she was looking at the window. "Yeah, the sun just went away.. it's pouring outside. I suspect a pretty bad rainstorm." he fell onto his bed. Odessa's eyes floated around the room. He had cleaned it, which was a great surprise. His bows and arrows were all in their places hanging on the wall in a bronze setting, and across the room on the other white wall was a gigantic tapastry that had always been there.
"You know he's not ever going to come back..." she said without taking her eyes from it.
"I know, but it's in my interest to notice our heros of the past, Odessa."
It was a tapastry of Link, with the glimmering triforce in the backroud. Everyone always remembered that magical tale of how Link saved Hyrule. She had never seen him, but she had always heard such wonderful things about him from the older folk in town. There were things like the tapestry all over the castle, in remembrance of that epic tale.

Odessa looked around at the paintings of the six goddesses. Demia (Goddess of forest), Demora (Goddess of spirit), Demana (Goddess of Fire), Devira (Goddess of water), Dekara (Goddess of light), and Desdemona (Goddess of Shadow). There remained only three now though. Devira, Demana, and Demora all had disappeared a long time ago. The reason is still unknown why. Dekara, Demia, and Desdemona all have to control two elements now. Dekara now held the responsibility for Light and Spirit, Demia now held control over Forest and Water, and Desdemona had Shadow and Fire. They all kept in balance fairly well. Leon frightened her by suddenly speaking.

"Like you haven't seen my walls enough? They aren't really that interesting... Want to journy to Death Mountain? My father wants me to go collect something from one of the Gorons." he stood up.
"Sure.. why not. Do you know what it is?" Odessa opened the door and they both walked out and down the hall, which was sounding of pounding thunder, and lit with jagged light from lightning. She sighed. "We have to go out in the rain?"
Leon laughed. "Yes, we do.. It will not hurt you Odessa."
"Fine fine. You never answered me, do you know what it is you are picking up?" They went down the stairs.
"No actually... Father never told me what it was that he wanted me to get." he shrugged and nodded to the man at the door.
"So, your father told you to get something.. and you don't even know what it is?" Odessa's clothes and hair was slowly getting wet from the pouring rain. "Great.. now we're both going to be soaking wet.."
"Oh deal with it Odessa." Leon said as they approuched the entrance to Death Mountain.

(Sorry it's so short.. I have writer's block)
