I think the character models have more anime themes. It's quite prominent for Link/Ilia (anime styled eyes, a bit like the charas for Xenosaga EP 1) whilst overs have more deformed faces like that little brown haired boy, or the fat lady with lots of cats. Maybe the comic-relief characters have more WW type bodies.
