Veran

I was looking through the manga, and do you know the Gerudo symbol? The one that replaced the crescent moon from OoT? Veran has that on her sleeve....does that mean anything to you?

Anyway, if not, we can talk about her anyway, and discuss the one who ties with Twinrova as best female villain in Zelda! She's pretty cool in the manga, saying things like peace and prosperity are the height of bordom, and spitting two headed leopards at Link. Ah, veran I love you.

P.S. Ambi is such a weak-willed person! And she needs her eyebrows waxed.

I wanted her to Kill Raven in the manga.

Since the Oracle games have been out for a couple of years now, it's pretty uncecessary to have spoilers anymore. Once a game is out for about...four to five months, I really don't see a need to have spoilers. So the only games that should have spoilers are the Twilight Princess and Zelda DS (tMC has been out long enough. Practically everyone knows what happens in the game).

Anyway. She was a pretty cool villian. The first Zelda bad "guy" I played against. Onox was too boring. Veran did stuff while you were beating dungeons, and Onox just sat there, basically.

Veran was ausome! She had a good hold on shape shifting and was really interactive. You saw her, talked to her, and even faught her before the final battle. Also, Ganon was a Gerudo, and she and Onax were trying to summon him, so it would make sence that they would wear that symbol.

True. Onox and Veran were both called up by Koume and Kotake, the Gerudo witches. It was their attempt to revive the Evil King and Gerudo King, Ganon. It would only make sense to have that symbol. And yes, that symbol can be found on Veran in the official art.

I thought she was a Shekiah at first, because of the crying eye she has on her dress, and she is a soceress of shadows. But the crying eye is probably because she draws power from sorrow, and her true form is a fairy.

I think the spider/queen bee/beetle forms are just for drastic measures.

Well, Veran was created by Twinrova, the gerudo withches so it would make sense.

But she looks like a werido in the pictures and such. But I like how she possesses people and has evil influence on people, even when she isn't possessing them! She's fun to fight without a potion and a level 1 sword too. Same with Onox. The first time I fought onox, I hadn't a potion or a level 2 sword, so it took me FOUR hours to beat him!!!

Veran would be cool, but she just looks weird...Aghh, well... Onox was a little weak though, he pretty much caused trouble for no reason, excpet for Twinrova's benefits...Veran on the other hand did it for the Power of the Heavens.

Since Capcom developed the game, I'd bet they designed Onox as a Gerudo and Veran as a Sheikah.
Onox
Iron Knuckle in Gerudo Armor
Onox's armor is extremely reminiscent of the Iron Knuckle armor, and in OoT Iron Knuckles were found in Gerudo territory. Onox also has a cloth that displays the Gerudo stripe design. The Gerudo emblem on his chest is either there to signify that he is a Gerudo (despite that dragon form) or that he is a servant of Twinrova, the Gerudo witches.
Veran
Veran, the Sorceress of Shadows, seems to be a member of the Sheikah race. Shadows are associated with the Sheikah, as is the eye with the teardrop. Veran's eye emblem isn't identical to the Sheikah Eye of Truth, but it is a close variation. She also dresses in blue and purple, which the Sheikah we know of dress in. Her eyes are red as well. The Gerudo emblems on her shoulders must signify her allegiance to Twinrova.

Yes, those seem like right ideas. But those arn't their true forms, Onox is a giant dragon, and Veran is a dark fairy.

I know, but it seems pretty clear Capcom modelled their typical forms after the Gerudo and Sheikah.

Btw, Veran is one of my favorite Zelda villians. I love how involved she is in the game's story, as opposed to the villains who just wait for you to get to the end of the game before doing anything.

She's an artful little bi***. I just love her in the manga, and making Nayru go in massive rages. When Ambi relents against exectuing Link, Veran just grabs the sword and yells:
"I'll do it myself!"

I like the way she changes the plot towards the end of the game, and you see her biding her time and cackling. I think Veran made Ages an overall darker game then Seasons.

Agreed.
Veran has much more character than most Zelda villians. I loved how even after her plans are foiled again and again she keeps finding new ways to mess everything up (and I also loved that part in the manga when she grabbed the sword as a last-ditch attempt).

I wonder if Veran would marry me? We could destroy the world together.

I think I would like to see her replace pig face ganon. Veran is a much more sinister entity. I hope she appears again. I mean a good female character in a Zelda game is rare, so Veran is a starlet of darkness. I just love her, the way she sits with an artistic expression on her face, musing about despair. Or the way she lovingly caresses Nayru's sleeping face, as she slips away to cause more trouble.

Yes, just when you think you killed her, Veran comes back to bite you in the ass.

Veran is the only female last boss in them all she's cool and has a LOT of different forms
