my curse

for a few min someone not rat me and say kazaa is illegal but i was downlopading a song and each one plays a few seconds and hen does static for 3 min. iv tried 10 files of the same song and i cant fix it. anyone know whats wrong.

... probably the band (Alien Ant Farm, i'm assuming) released copies of the song only like that... like what Madonna did a while ago, where her songs online consisted of the phrase "What the F*** do you think you're doing?" repeated over and over to a beat...

there is no solution unless you download it until you get a good version of it

... actually, as long as you own a hard copy of the file (namely, you bought a cd with the song on it), it's perfectly in your right to have an MP3 of it...

it's only when people get stupid that the problems start...

I heard on the news that they were gonna give penalty to everyone that shares files.. or offers others illegal music etc.. I just wonder how on earth they are gonna track down ALL kazaa users o_O that'll keep em busy.. heh

and yeah bands and artists do release fake versions of the song, so I'm guessing that's the case, can't help ya, sorry

hmm that could be a problem.. well, for now I have music on my pc that's just uploaded from cds.. but I have a few cd-rs with just my fav numbers.. crap..

All my songs work just fine. It might be due to the fact that as soon as I download them, I move them to another folder. I don't think it will help you though, as long as the song itself is corrupted.

oh i know your paying full price. but if you wanna be a nice guy and help others out, you can rip the CD and upload it on Kazaa

I've heard this has something to do with one of the worms that just went around. A lot of MP3s that are just floating around on there have that problem...and they tend to cut into static at about 20 to 25 seconds. I'll see if I can dig up the conversation, but it's only been appearing very recently, so I think it's a good theory.

I just use Kazaa to get little video clips

Well, I was told it was something people do just to tick peeps off, kinda like those 'You are an idiot" sites that show up every once in a while. But I may be wrong.

The solution is to only download things that people have already made most of the money their gonna make off of it. CLassic rock. Not any of this 'popular' music that people are worried about to take the time to make **** (STUFF like that.

But i don't download music, my friend does.
