Re: Wake the Dragon (Flueworks, Shrub, Dybia) In his seemingly aimless wandering Dybia found himself just where he needed to be. In the distance he could see dust and smoke rising from a small village. Above it strange insect like creatures buzzed around carrying people to their deaths. He could see the villagers trying to escape through a road leading out of the town, but most were being cut down at the obvious choke point. He put on his white doctor's coat and started making his way to the town.
They were being attacked by a strange cloaked creature with a short sword. The few villagers that mustered up the nerve to try and fight the thing found their weapons flying straight through it with little sign that it even noticed the strikes. As Dybia got closer he decided if regular weapon attacks weren't any good he had just the thing. He drew his blade Enola and pointed it at the creature. The few people still living seemed confused by the gesture but understood the moment arced from the blade and painfully struck the creature. He kept the arc going until the creature finally dissipated.
Once he was sure the creature was dead he decided to attend to the wounded in the immediate area. Without saying a word he walked over to a man who'd had his arm cut off by the thing. A small black creature with yellow eyes had picked up the severed limb and was about to run off with it before Dybia walked over and stomped on it. He took the arm from the now dead pest's small hands and went back to the injured man. He started his work using his electricity to bond the limb back onto the man's shoulder stump and sewed the wound shut. He'd made sure to kill the pain and give the man's body enough of a boost to get him on his feet and on his way out of here. The man didn't say a word to Dybia the whole time. He didn't seem like on to question his blessings. Dybia only said one thing to him.
"Don't put more than a pound of weight on it for a month or two."
With that he treated a few smaller wounds on the other villagers who had made it this far to the edge of town. He made sure none of them were stupid enough to head back in once they were patched up. With creatures like that further into town they wouldn't stand a chance, but he would be more than capable. As he treated the people there he simply told them to go find help elsewhere and bring it back. After all, he didn't know this land very well. He decided to stay there and treat anyone that made it until help arrived. Every now and then one of the tiny black creatures came by poking its head around a corner. He made sure to squash them all. |
