I think it might be. The swastika was based on the symbol of ancient religions, after all. But didn't they have to change the crescent symbol in OoT because some people complained it was offensive to muslims? So I am not sure, soz.

Actually, the Triforce is quite common in the real world. Here in the USA, the Delta company's mark is the Triforce, only red.

Yes, it has been used for maybe thousands of years. Chances are Buddhism chose that symbol off another. Nintendo most likely chose this symbol from another thing as well.

Well, the triforce symbol from zelda came from the ancient Japanese Hojo clan, or so I've heard. Yeah, I saw the Delta company uses a triforce...I think that's kinda weird.
