As for
SS being a disappointment, I would have to say, not playing the game, that every single Zelda game will be considered worse than the last, until they make one that will blow the pants off of anyone. Not good, not great, but excellent. That's one of the reasons all the Zelda games after
OoT are considered disappointing, with the exception of Twilight Princess, none of them sold as well as Ocarina of Time, none of them have gotten as much critical acclaim as Ocarina of Time. It doesn't help that GameSpot gave this game a 7.5|10. The lasting impression left by reviewers is going to somewhat leave a lasting impression on others. Not always, but often.
