I know some things about N'awlins.

Preservation Hall: Located in the French Quarter. Be prepared to wait in line for a while, but the live jazz and atmosphere is completely worth it. Keep in mind, that it is first-come-first serve and there aren't many seats.

National WWII Museum: There is a really informative film that you watch at the beginning of the museum, it was exciting to watch and really brought the war to life, I suppose. The rest of the museum is really interesting and has plenty of artifacts to look at. There is also WWII veterans there everyday, and they are really nice to talk to. Overall, it's a really good experience.

Shopping: The flea/farmer's market in New Orleans is a great place to get souvenirs for cheap and check out the local talent (artists and such.)

Ghost Tour: Even if you don't believe in ghosts, it's a neat way to learn about some of the history behind the buildings in the French Quarter.

Cafe du Monde: The hot chocolate and coffee here is really, really good. You also just have to stop for the beignets. They're sooo good!

There are a ton of other things to do, but that's what I really enjoyed while I was there. :>
