Simon stopped a few feet away from the goblin and locked eyes with it. Neither made any aggressive moves as neither one was looking for a battle. After a short while, an inferred consensus that neither wanted to hurt the other was implied, and Simon padded in a circle around it, stopping momentarily to smell the air.

And just so, a new smell filled the air. This smell was strange, like water, but not like water at the same time. It belonged to a new creature, who found its way to the cavern as well. Simon observed it, as it stumbled somewhat clumsily down a snow clad hill. As it entered the cavern there was a slight pause as the three beings observed each other.

And suddenly the blue woman reached out her hand to touch him. Being what he was, and the situation they were in, Simon instantly disliked that, and let out a warning growl while barring his teeth. It did not seem to frighten the woman, however, as much as the feeling of his fur. Almost like she had received as shock she jerked her hand back, looking both confused and curious.

Again she reached out. This time, Simon let her, and stood still as she pressed her hand against his fur. Her hand was cold, like the snow outside, and as she slid it under his fur and brushed against his skin, he stepped away, and moved to the fire, to warm himself.
