It's possible, right? I mean during Sozin's Comet, I don't think Aang had COMPLETE control until it came time to finish off Ozai, and he turned himself back to normal once he was able to kill him.
While Korra lacks the spiritual side, I think she does have enough power and...well, I don't want to say anger, but I think she could get pissed off enough to accidently trigger the Avatar State. I wonder if we'll see it before
(if it's true), Amon takes her bending away.
And I think Amon lied about his backstory, even though the reason he said IS a good one. For some reason, it doesn't ring true to me though. I think Mike and Bryan are doing a great job with him though. Even I am afraid of him.
