I did think that the sailing in TWW was annoying, but there are things that are fun about it. I liked to fiddle around with the camera and change the view. I liked it best when I had it as far in back of Link as it would go.
I loved to watch the changing sea. The ocean changes, you know. At one point it has little white wave crests, and eventually it changes to a choppy waters that you sail over as if they were tiny hills. The changes in the time of day or the weather were all reflected in the water. I enjoyed watching these changes. Sailing on that huge ocean gave me a wonderful feeling.
Stopping at all the islands and exploring them was fun. I never knew what I was going to find at the end... until I played the game for the second time.
