Well yea, the next game could use iconic monsters/enemies that kind of remind of the bad guys power and status. Darknuts kind of have this role in Zelda, but Dark Souls for example had the Black Knights which are amazingly strong throught the game, regardless how far into the game you are and when you run into one youre in for a trashing.
Best way to fix it is to make more unique fights with a lot of enemies that simply do not feel like "bosses" or "Mini-Bosses".
Blurring the line between "dungeon", "boss" and "mini boss" and the old conventions should be a major design element for the next Zelda.
