defend your castle
be quick, be steady
the village is revolting
prepare your arms, be ready

for that water isn’t sacred
neither is it pure
don’t say a thing you don’t believe
for they will request more

don’t be fraught, so fearful
you brought this with the rats
and called forth a note from heaven
that held you responsible to that

your lady, she will go first
protect her and the kin
pray to above you’ll see her
there is no time, hasten

defend your castle
from plague and beasts
this you failed, quite humbly
but of your faults, this is the least

unlike any other,
quite distraught,
so keep the company
of mirrors with brilliance
and apathy
