If anyone is going to release a console next, it's going to be Nintendo. They're already on top, they're going to have had most of the main first party titles you'd expect from them in a single generation out by next year, and their lead in sales this gen will allow them much more freedom than Sony and Microsoft, who are probably going to spend the next little while trying to get the most out of this past generation, and very slowly and carefully planning what to do next. Nintendo can basically do whatever they want and still succeed at this point, and they're probably going to capitalize on that by releasing something ASAP. A 2012 release date for a new Nintendo console seems almost a given to me at this point.
