Zelda in your dreams

A very interesting topic. It's happened to all of us. Zelda stays in my head even when I'm asleep. Link and Zelda, among others, lurk in the best dreams I have. Ganon haunts my nightmares. Now THAT is a sign of being a Zelda fanatic. I have had SO many dreams about Zelda. Ever since I was 3 years old and had only an NES and the first two Zelda's, I've dreamed about it. I had dreams about being on the flat, bare, 2-dimensional space that was Hyrule. Octorok sprites were chasing me off the edge of Hyrule into darkness. One of my scarier dreams. I dreamt Link was traveling through a side-scrolling carnival with a ferris wheel for some reason. But of the Zelda's, The Wind Waker is in my dreams the most. I've had so many dreams about islands and regions of the sea even beyond what you can explore in the game. In one dream, I was with Tetra during a thunderstorm sailing to a huge, bare island of thorny vines. In another, I was climbing endlessly up out of a cave in a huge mountain on the ocean. Post about your Zelda dreams here.

Re: Zelda in your dreams

I once had a very vivid dream that revealed to me the location of the Triforce in Ocarina of Time. I dreamt that I was Link and had just returned to the Temple of Time after collecting all the medallions. After Sheik revealed herself as Zelda and was kindapped, I stood at the altar and played Zelda's Lullaby. A hole opened in the roof of the temple and seven beams of light shot down from the sky, forming a path of light. I walked up into the sky, and into the Sacred Realm. There before me was an altar surrounded by statures of the goddesses, and upon it lay the complete Triforce. I took it and followed the path to the top of Ganon's Tower, where I easily defeated Ganon.

This was about a year ago, but I remember it because it's one of the most realistic dreams I've ever had. Yes, I did actually try doing that in the real game afterward.

edit: I've also had a dream where I was on Koholint. I thought that was pretty ironic.

Re: Zelda in your dreams

When I was little I had dreams of Link in Iron Knuckle Armor, and I've had a dream that Link rode a dragon around in the skies above Hyrule Field. Both of these dreams took place in OoT.

Now I haven't finished LA, but let me guess...
Spoiler (Highlight to read):
it's all a dream?

There's barely a reason to put spoiler tags around that.

Re: Zelda in your dreams

My friend says he dreamed about Link's Awakening before he knew about it. I find it hard to believe, but he's not the type of guy to lie, so I dunno.

Re: Zelda in your dreams

Funny you should mention that. I didnt get to sleep until 3am last night because i was thinking about the zelda trailers and the layout of the new zelda map. I have had dreams with link in but there nothing to do with the zelda series. The funniest one ive had was every one was queing up to meet zelda. I was with my mum and i shook her hand. My mum says you know her better than that so i kissed her hand :embrsd: lol. But i distinctly remember being myself not Link. O well.

Incidently have you noticed how you never hit the bottom in the dream. If you've fallen off a cliff or even just jumping off a diving board. They say when you hit the bottom your dead

Re: Zelda in your dreams

Are we talking about any kind of dreams? or video game related ones? Well last night I actually had a pretty awesome dream (Zelda related). I was sorta dressed like Master Cheif (from Halo...and the funny thing is, I don't play Halo). But I wasn't MC, I was actually a futuristic Link. Now I was in this extremely old temple called the "Hall of Heros". Each room had a different statue of Link. And every single room I went to the statue would come to life and I had to defeat the Link of that room. I'd have my futuristic weopons (that are still Zelda~esque...like instead of a sword, a light-sabre. Instead of arrows, force beams, etc...) and the Link had his weopons used in the game.

So with WW Link the floor beneith us crumbled and and a huge consistant vent of air came from below. Link would use his Deku Leaf, as I used my rocket boots (futuristic Roc's Feather) to jump from stone to stone (the stones that made up the floor before they crumbled) trying to hit Link. Everytime I got close, he'd use the windwaker Baton and change the dirrection of the wind. Now instead of it blowing from below me, it blew from above me. The battle raged on until I defeated him

That's just one section of my dream. If I told you the full dream it would take a few pages (plus I could make a nice fan-fic out of it).

I fought these Links:[list][*]tWW Link[*]FS Link (Intense battle...sorta reminded me of the Matrix when Neo fought all of those Mr. Smiths)[*]tMC Link (he didn't shrink, he made me shrink, apparently he had that power in my dream)[*]OoS/OoA Link (Used the Seasons and Time against me)[*]OoT Link[*]LA Link (it wasn't a physical battle but somehow this Link fought inside my mind....while I was sleeping).

After all of that I came what I was originally searching for: The Master Sword. Only the bravest of Heros could reach that far into the Hall and live to tell about it. So I had to beat all the Links from the past (centuries ago) to show myself as the descendant/ next legendary hero. Now that I think of it...I may put that in a fan-fic I've been working on. Probably that's why I was dreaming about it.

Not trying to spam or anything but, if anyone would like their dreams analyzed, feel free to go to my thread "The Doctor is In". I have a link to it on my Siggy (just click on that quote that talks about dreams). But the dreams should be serious dreams...not really video game related (they usually don't have deep meanings behind them, but I guess I'm willing to try only if you are serious about it).

Re: Zelda in your dreams

I've had a lot of Zelda dreams, I remember the first one, I was about 3 years old, My brothers discovered the first dungeon of the firts game, and I created a harder dungeon in my mind, most of my zelda dreams are like If I were playing the game, but every time I'm waiting for the next zelda to come, I have a dream about it, I remember a dream when the moon was going to kill us all, that was just after watching the MM advertisement, or my most recent zelda dream was after watching the new trailer, but it was kinda funny because I saw the Star Wars trailer the same day, and I mixed both trailers, Link was seduced by the dark side, and he used the force to move things, his sword was a laser sabre, hehe.

Re: Zelda in your dreams

I had a dream about TWW before I got it. I had decided to get it, realizing graphics didn't matter, and I dreamt I was traveling through this weird endless forest with these other people. And there was this golden altar out in the open. Don't ask me why.

I remember having a dream when Link was fighting ganon in a burning tower, Zelda and I were at the top aswell, cheering him on, Link turned to looked at us, as he kncoked Ganon to the ground, but then Ganon got up again and made an attempt to hit Link, so me and Zelda stepped in....Tbh i can't remember anymore than that, it was a long time ago :embrsd:

Re: Zelda in your dreams

Heh, I've had dreams about how the Lost woods were connected some how to the timber outside my house. I'm just walking out there. (I do often) when I run into Link. The dream is different at times...In one I'm a child and so is he, and in others I'm an "adult"... well, I am 18, but that hardly means your adult... Anyway.. At times he's lost (usaly when he's an adult) and at times I'm sad because I have no friends. (every time he's a child) He befriends me as a child, as well as an adult. I help him to find his home.(adult) and he helps me feel better(child) Well, it continues, but I won't bore you with the details... I'm not even sure just how many people actually read other people's posts anyway.

Re: Zelda in your dreams

I had a dream (the night before I got the Master Sword, actually) that I had to find these little poker-looking chips and they were spread out over this 3 story labyrinth looking thing. I had to run around and find them before Ganondorf did, so I ran fast. I won, actually, but I never did get that Master Sword. Ganondorf went into an alien saucer looking thing, and vreeeee'd away.

I guess that was more of a nightmare.

Re: Zelda in your dreams

I had a dream about the Wind Waker. I was really, really exited about it and I remembered looking at lots of screenshots of Link in the Forsaken Fortress, so I had this short dream where Wind Waker Link was sidling across the gerudo pirates fortress in Majoras Mask.

Re: Zelda in your dreams

If I have ben playing any LOZ games before I drift off, I will dream of it, but not always clearly. Like, I know it was there, but I'm not one of the characters. If I lose a boss battle, I have nightmares.

Re: Zelda in your dreams

I dreamed once that I was running down a spiral staircase, like in OoT, when Ganondorf destroys his castle with "his last power" (liar, liar!).
