Eagle Scout

Anyone else here an Eagle Scout? I just had a successful board of review last Thursday. :cool:
If so, what was your project? I collected school supplies for kids in Afghanistan. It was really hard, but worth it.

Wow, I'm impressed Janus. My friend was in boyscouts and from what I heard it's very difficult to become an Eagle Scout. He had to quit before he got the chance to become an Eagle Scout though.He had to quit after he was caught making naepalm. So congradulations!!

Thanks, and yeah, it was really hard. One of the hardest parts about my project was getting the supplies over there. Luckily, a group called Blue Star Mothers took care of that.

I used to be in scouts. I quit after being thown out of summer camp for lighting fires with some friends. (It was in the rain too. It's not like our shoes or the tents would've actually gone ablaze)

But, yeah. I think I made it up to Star. Congrats though.

Ooo congrats!!! ^.^ My brother is in boy scouts... but I think hes only a star scout. I doubt he will make it to eagle scout anyway... :p

I finally completed my Eagle Scout stuff back during my senior year of high school...I almost missed it all...

I hated Scouts, but I had gotten so far that my mom convinced me to just finish it out and complete it...saying I'm an Eagle Scout looks good on resumes...

my final project was to paint address numbers on the street in front of all the houses in my neighborhood...

Cool. I'm personally not a fan of the Scout activities, but I like the things the law, oath, motto, and slogan say.
Good project. I imagine it was tough trying to get enough paint.

...are you in my troop, by any chance? Lol, just kidding. I was an SPL one year at camp and some of the guys were going to do that. We managed to stop them, and everyone *including me* settled for spraying matches with bug spray.

Well congrats on the achievement. I'll never know what an eagle scout is unless I have a transsexual surgery, but thats unlikely. And I am sure as hell not going to ring doorbells and sell cookies like a little girl scout. *Mini Kittie is though*

Probably not, because I don't think there was any bug spray left by the time we got thrown out. We had been lighting that on fire earlier in the week.

Congrats Janus. I'm currently a Life Scout, and should be having my board of review in a few months.

Im currently Life, havent advance in a year, havent been active in a year, and currently 15 1/2.. maybe I will go back and finish it since I am 3 merit badges and a project away.. who knows... congradulations though!

Been an Eagle since I was 15, and though it was hard work, it was worth it!

Sorry to hear some of you were kicked out for fire starting. We did some crazy stuff, and my eye brows eventually grew back!

Eh? I'd absolutely hate it if some pea-brained adolescent took it into his head to paint big ugly numbers all up and down my street

Myself, I never got past the Webelos stage, between Cub and Boy scout. And I don't regret it. I don't like the whole Boy Scout atmosphere. At all.

Awww. But girl scout cookies are so good. Especially those Tag-alongs. Mmm...

i didnt like the atmosphere either lordy...but I had gotten so far...now it looks sweet on resumes...

and the numbers weren't big wonky numbers, they were just on the curb and we only painted numbers in front of houses we were given permission beforehand to paint...

Lol, you'd probably tick off a lot of people if you started painting their curbs out of the blue.

Similar to what I said earlier, I don't like the atmosphere too well, either. But I was really close, and as it's been said, it looks great on resumes.

Congrats, Ganondorf. Good luck with the board of review *do your best to relax.* I'd suggest finishing your Eagle, Soulpwner. I don't regret finishing mine.
