Re: What Got You Started on Gaming As an only child I had no siblings to watch, but my dad taught my how to play games on our DOS computer and my parents got me a SNES when I was 5. I played a lot with my dad, and later with friends and cousins. I wasn't allowed to have any other consoles until the gamecube, though.
Then we got a new PC when I was 12 and we moved into a new neighbourhood. There weren't any kids of my age range there so I stayed inside a lot more. I got absolutely amazing games like Planescape: Torment and Baldur's Gate. I loved them despite my limited English and that really got me hooked I guess. I still love long, story-heavy games more than anything else.
I also tend to play PC games much more than console games, still. |
