Clearing things up

1. Safer Sephiroth- while I will give you points for trying to turn my words to your advantage (it does show a devious brand of imagination ) I ALSO SAID
Quote:
"You may not cause serious physical harm to a person here..."
I think setting them on fire qualifies as serious physical harm. Back it up and try again. You can either have nothing happen when you summon such dangerous material, have it fizzle halfway there, or pick something else.

I will also classify "Jeishudan" as a defensive spell, also illegal, but overall useless because he got a face full of pie anyway.

2. You have all missed a very important detail. My post said there was a specific method of summoning a type of pie to your aid.
Quote:
"You can have any kind of pie you can think up, from lemon meringue to mud, just by saying the words, 'I want' then naming a variety of pie."
It's like 'Simon says' and you just lost. I seem to remember saying something before about paying attention to detail...

3. Master of Chaos- I had a feeling you would take the early lead in this battle. You missed the 'I want rule', but showed some good imagination in your choices of ammunition right off the bat. However, you lose points for shortness. Not Chaos', but the post itself was a little too short.

Don't make me start putting length requirements on assignments guys!

As for transformations, I think I'll allow it on the basis of a natural ability, since Aurora is capable of using her own chi energy here.

In case you're wondering SS, I'm making a different decision in this case from yours due to the fact that your defensive spell was obviously learned rather than natural, and required a invocation of sorts. I'm also ruling out the 'Dual Pie Thrust' attack you created for Nai on the same grounds.

Quote:
There's your assignment, a pie fight. No relying on fancily named attacks, or weapons, or magic spells here. I'm restricting your options because I want keen description of physical actions. I want brilliant, no-holds barred, active storytelling. I even restricted the environment, so you could focus exclusively on your chartacter's actions.
As a side note, I thought up this assignment in this way because most of my students have specifically asked to improve in their action writing. That is all this battle is. Or, did I just imagine that? *runs back to check student files* Nope, I was right.

4. Alchemist- Yes, you have to take part in this after you finish your current assignment. Of course a pie battle is ridiculous. We do a lot of ridiculous things for the sake of education. Roll with it. Who knows, you might even have fun. Sometimes good writing is as much about finding the humor in a situation as it is about action and violence. Lighten up dude! You'll get serious assignments with plenty of blood-letting all in good time, so why not enjoy the levity? *shrugs* But, if you really want to be stubborn about this, write your posts about Kaid avoiding the fight. Unfortunately, if you do this, you have no shot at the prize. Really, what do you have to lose?
