I've learned to respect the Internet, despite it being so easy to abuse others with. I simply don't wish to take the easy way out and hide behind the Internet and harass people and stuff like that.
Funny thing - many years ago, someone I kept arguing with badly on the Internet actually sat next to me in class. The argues never left the net.
I think it takes more discipline and experience to respect the Internet and not go verbally a-bombin' people. You don't even have to hold back on the Internet. Face to face, you have little choice. So yes, it does reveal your true self in a way...perhaps not completely though. |
