As I was deboning chickens for stock this afternoon, I thought I should bring back a thread from a couple months ago. There was a cooking thread, and from talking to people in that, I thought I was the only person on
ZU who was pursuing a careen in cooking. Hoever I have recently found out that this is not the case

. So I thought maybe if this was given a second try some more people would be happy to share! Do you want to becom a cook? What do you like cooking? What have you cooked? Let me know!
As for my self, I'm going into my second year of my apprenticeship, and I'm going to be completing my first semester of college starting september (I was in a highschool/college co-op program last year, so I only did half the semester). I've been cooking at home almost my whole life. My dad worked as a sous chef at a small restaurant for a while, so while he was never a formally trained cook, he knew enough to show me the basics. From there I started experimenting and learning from the food network. I loved cooking, and in grade 12 (when I could finally fit it into my schedual) took my first formal cooking class. After getting some experience I decided this is what I want to do for a career, and went back to high school for an extra year to take the apprenticeship program. This past year I got the top culinary arts marks in my school both first and second semester, and faired pretty well in the college portion as well. I worked in a (seemingly good, but actually awfull) italian restaurant for my co-op placement at school, and have worked in a bar & grill for 2 years (no ideal for experience, but I love the job

).
That's pretty much for my over view, if anyone wants to see some of the stuff I've done,
here are some of my pictures from the last two years.
