Too far into the future? Zelda never technically took place in the past in the first place. Besides, there's a telephone in Link's Awakening and color photographs in The Wind Waker, which were both invented after the locomotive.
Anyway, in regards to the topic, I think that the train looks promising and innovative, and will possibly top Linebeck's steamboat. But I don't know for sure yet.

Exactly what I thought. There aren't too many fantasy games like this that let you control a train. I'm excited that it's a Zelda title that will let me experience that.
