As I traveled, I began to wonder how vast the world was. Soon, a well fortified city came into view. I transformed into a human before I was spotted. Once I approached the gates, I saw the splendor of the city in front of my. I gaped at the wealth. I had never known anything even close to this.

When I arrived at the gates, I saw the people giving the men with armor and spears round, shiny objects. I realized that they were giving the armored men money to go through. I dug in my pocket and drew out all of the coins I had. When I approached the amored man, I asked him,

"Is this enough?"

"Well, you're just short of the required pay," The armored man snickered. I dug into my pocket and found a large, gold coin.

"Will this do?" I asked.

"Just made the right amount," the armored man laughed.

As I walked off, I looked back and saw the two armored men looking bug-eyed at the money. I walked into town and saw people shouting out things that they had for sell and how much it was. One man asked me personally to buy a slab of meat. It looked delicious. I dug into my pockets one more time but I couldn't find any money. I walked off disapointed.

I walked, taking many twists and turns, until I was completely and totally lost. I looked around me and everything was old and torn down. The people looked this way too. They wore rags, and they looked especially mean and hungy, as if they would do anything for a piece of food. This is where I spent my first night in a city.
