Corpse Puppet
Habitat - In some of the world's less cheerful places, such as the Cullis Cemetery or within the Entombed Spire.
Threat - Moderately Low
Attacks - Scratch (1/2 heart), Cleaver (1 heart)
Appearance - They come in a variety of shapes and sizes, but they all share similar traits. All of them are mostly skeletal with some remnants of flesh clinging to the brittle bones. They wear ragged clothing, though some may don pieces of armor. All of them are capable of blocking attacks with either a shield or their weapon. When this occurs, a shield bump or a parry move is needed.

Corpse Puppets are created by infusing dead bodies with dark magic. The necromancer then controls these bodies as if he were a puppet master. Corpse Puppets are rather frail, and can usually be felled with a few good shots from your gun or a few good hits from your sword. Bombs are also excellent as crowd control.

Corpse Puppets never stop spawning, so the only way to end their threat is to eliminate the necromancer. Once you do, they will stop appearing.

Corpse Puppeteer
Habitat - Normally in the same places as Corpse Puppets.
Threat - Moderately High
Attacks - Dark Magic Orb (1 heart), Dark Lightning (1/4 heart per second for 4 seconds), Dark Fire (1/4 heart per half-second of exposure), Staff (1/2 heart)
Appearance - Corpse Puppeteers are dark creatures made from concentrated sinister energy. They all take the form of a small child wrapped in bandages and wearing a sort of tattered robe. Their hands and feet are bound in chains and they carry a gnarled scepter.

Since Corpse Puppeteers float, it is difficult to hit them with your sword, so resorting to ranged weapons is necessary to defeat them. It takes roughly five shots from your gun to destroy them.

When combatting a Corpse Puppeteer, it is important for the player to recognize certain signs that can offer some insight as to which attack the enemy will use. For instance, if the scepter begins glowing purple, the Puppeteer will use the Dark Magic Orb. If it's suddenly enveloped in purple electricity, the Dark Lighting attack will most likely be used. If it suddenly catches on fire, the enemy will use Dark Fire. The only attack that comes without a warning is when the Corpse Puppeteer hits you with its scepter. The only way to avoid this attack is to keep your distance.

Some Puppeteers are invisible, and only reveal themselves after your dog has sniffed them out.

Minions
Habitat - Several dungeons, usually as sub-bosses of sorts.
Threat - Very High
Attacks - Charge (2 hearts), One-Handed Axes (1 1/2 hearts each), Two-Handed Sword (3 hearts), Dark Magic Orb (1 1/2 hearts), Dark Forcewave (2 hearts, plus knocking you down), Gun Fire (4 hearts)
Appearance - Minions are the equivalent of the Iron Knuckle or the Dark Nut in this particular story, and are roughly the same size. They are hunch-backed creatures with thick manes that are usually braided and dyed. Minions carry one of four weapon sets: two axes per hand; one large sword and a shield; a large, intimidating scepter; or a large gun. Regardless of the weapon, Minions are clad in heavy armor that can only be damaged with explosives.

Depending on the weapon, Minions can attack at two ranges: the double axes and the sword attack at close range, whereas the sceptered and gunned varieties are more adept at ranged combat. To combat one range, you must adopt the strategies of the other. Minions will however correct the range problem; if you get too close to a ranged Minion, he will retreat in order to put some distance between you and him; on the inverse, if you are too far away from a sword-wielding minion, he will likely charge toward you in an attempt to close that distance.

It should be noted that all of a Minion's attacks are incredibly damaging, especially earlier on. As such, careful planning is needed in order to emerge victorious. Remember, a Minion is nothing more than a large, dumb animal in armor; outsmart it.
